muscle pain?

Sorry to bother. I thought I would ask you guys before calling the doctor all freaked out.

I am having some pain in my abdominal muscles and around my belly - top sides, everywhere. Is this normal? I have no bleeding, fever, chills or anything. Just pain. Sometimes (especially at night when I wake up hurting and have to switch sides) it feels like I pulled something or I stretched a muscle. Other times its a dull stabbing pain. Is this just growing pains and/or round ligament pain?

Sounds normal to me. My stomach muscles feel like they are being pulled apart at times. Right now my sides hurt but it is different every day.

Sounds just like what i am having...its just the weight of all the stuff/LO in there, plus its your uterus stretching out and putting pressure on those ligaments! (gotta love round ligament pains!!) If its not accompanied by anything major like you listed above..i wouldnt fret!! I am right there with you on it being my first, but luckily i have a mother who delivers babies for a living, so my resources are abundant! feel free to pass along any questions that I could ask her if you would like Smile

Hope you feel better!!! I know they can be AWFUL for me...so i literally feel your pain!!

It can be normal, but I would ask your OB at your next appt. As long as it's not accompanied by tightening, hardness, or any of the things you mentioned, it's probably just baby's extra weight putting stress on your body.

Yep it does sound normal to me too Smile :bighug: Try to relax and get some rest, put your feet up! I'm having pain sometimes too, and nighttime is one of the times I feel more.
