OT potty training Q

So DS1 (Will) is now 3 (July 8th) and we are just entering potty training. He's doing good as far as I can tell. We take him every hour or so when he's awake, and he holds it while sleeping so no diapers now for a week. The thing is, he hasn't gone #2 since Sunday, I think he's afraid? Should I feed him something to help ease things out? AKA raisins or somehin? Is it bad he doesn't "tell" us he has to go? Any ideas on that transition?

I don't think it's "bad" he doesn't tell you he has to go. I would ask him before you take him. My DD was daytime potty trained before Lio was born (her own doing, and we've had a lot of regression since the baby was born). Probably 75% of it was her telling me, and then sometimes if I noticed her kinda dancing around because she was focused on something and didn't want to stop, I'd take her to the potty, so she wasn't always telling me. But hey, there were no diaper, so I'll take it however. Wink Now just to get her back there...

I have no advice but I will be stalking. DD pees with no issue but will not poop in the potty yet.

We got Alex to go#2 by just siting him there for awhile. Does he know what going poop means it whatever word you use for it. What really helped us was poking his belly. Kind of like tickling him but we'd poke his belly and it would make him bear down. Hard to explain. But I'd definitely ask him if he needs to go poop.
Good luck! What worked best for us was a potty.chart. I made it myself.

Miralax, Thats what we had to do with dd and I know a lot of other people who did the same thing. They hold it too long, then its painful, then they don't want to go cause they think it will hurt. It made a huge difference, much easier after that.

Good luck! You'll figure out what works. Each kid is different. We were pretty lucky with Alex and he was completely potty trained by 2 1/2. He still wears a pull up at night though. He was pretty easy to potty train that I know Max is going to be a nightmare!
