Rock 'n Play?

Fisher-Price Rock 'n Play

I saw these at BRU and it looks so useful. Has anyone used one? I was considering putting it beside our bed instead of a co-sleeper since neither of my kids would sleep much in a co-sleeper anyway. The reviews are excellent on it and it would be easy to take with us if we travel. I realize that it has a wt. limit of 25 lbs and shouldn't be used with babies who can sit up and pull up, but the co-sleeper is the same way.
Any thoughts on it?

It is similar to a bouncer, but it rocks and it is supposed to be safe for them to sleep in. I played around with it a lot at BRU and really liked the thought of it...just not sure about the practicality of it.

i can see how it would be an advantage if you were going to be travelling around alot while baby was tiny. or wanted to have a place to put the baby down besides in your room. it does feel like alot of money. my other thing is do you want he/she to get used to being rocked always to sleep?

I thought about getting one of those but decided I could just used that carrycot as a downstairs sleep spot. I do know people who have them and their babies seem to love them.

**Lurker** A person at church gave this to me for the new baby and I really like it, I can use it downstairs while I cook dinner or what not and there is a safety belt, but on my local craigslist I see them for 20.00 there is 4 on there right now and Once upon a child has them for 24.00 try there before paying full price!

Thanks! I've been watching CL and consignment stores too, but apparently there aren't any in this area right now. I don't have a problem with the price because I can probably just sell it on CL once I'm done with it. It sounds like most people who purchase it really like it.

I've heard good things about it and I read the reviews awhile back and everyone seems to really like it.
