What shoes do you have your little one in? Do you like them, do they? Why?
If you have a boy and a pair you really like I want a link!
I've always used the soft leather bottom shoes till they're running. I got them from Target.
Sidney doesn't like the soft bottom ones, because they are slippery on smooth floors. So I had to go searching... She is almost running now but her feet are only size 3 and I found it really hard to find "real" shoes that small! I ended up getting some adorable little stride rite runners with flexible rubber soles. She loves them, they are now the only shoes she will wear. If I put robeez on her now, she won't walk in them!
Yeah the slippery part is a problem. but the only times my kids are in shoes (well especially at this young age) is when we go outside to play. i just don't put them in shoes.
i have some pink sandles i bought at payless that she wears. She only wears shoes when she goes outside or if we are going somewhere and she might be walking.
I actually found it better that she didn't wear shoes until she was walking better....i had her wear them here and there to be used to them, but she was barefoot majority of the time. She ALWAYS takes them off in the car, so i don't put her shoes on until we're where we need to be.
I know you have a boy - but these are the sandles we got O that she wears:Girls - Teeny Toes - Girls' Infant Flora Play Sandal - Payless Shoes
I'd imagine that this is what i would have gotten had a had a boy: Boys - Teeny Toes - Boys' Infant Camo Double Strap Sport Sandal - Payless Shoes
Now that fall/winter will be here soon, i have some closed toe shoes i got from a friend that she can wear.
I don't put shoes on Sidney at home either (actually, she rarely wears clothes at home either... lol). But she refuses to ride in the stroller for longer than a couple of minutes, so she ends up walking wherever we are! Julie I love those, they're adorable!! If summer wasn't almost over I would go and get some for Sidney!
I prefer to put her in the Robeez shoes, and she likes them just fine.
In fact, she kind of LOVES shoes. She doesn't care what kind they are. She wore some plain girly white sandles for about a week, crying after bed and nap to have me immediately put them back on.
Oh, and she still can fit in size 2!!!!
Julie, those sandals are adorable.
Super cute. Stephanie do you use the soft suedish bottomed robeez? We got R a pair of Puma sneakers with flexible bottoms, but he hates them on and they are still a half size too big. I have some soft bottomed robeez... they leave a crease mark on the top of his feet though... doesn't seem to bother him, but I don't love that. I also wish they had traction.... He is already a size.... wait for it..... 6.5 ... seriously...
Braydens first pair of shoes that he would actually wear were new balance sneakers, they were pretty expensive ($65) considering how long he wore them but they were the only ones that didnt pinch in the wrong areas, he grew out of them so i figured i would try saving some money and bough TOMS which are really cute except they fall off after a few steps........so i think i am going to have to splurge and buy another pair of sneakers, he use to wear the robeez but his ankles seem to be really chunky and they leave a deep regd line on his poor little ankles.......and WOW sara!!! those are some big feet! Brayden is 14 months and only a size 4 and he still has some growing room in that size!

Like father like son... bwahahaha... sorry... couldn't resist.
Robeez give R a little indent as well. I don't like it, doesn't seem to bother him. The Pumas were 40 some dollars so I hope the work! They are a size 7. The shoe store lady said they run small ... and she said they felt like the fit him right, but I think they seem just a bit too big... at least they did last week.. I should probably try again! R is very close to walking but isn't quite yet.... just getting him used to standing in shoes... just having him wear them outside at his sand table and slide... and if we go somewhere I want him to be able to put his feet down.
