So I had the BIG one on Tuesday!

Peanut is fine, everything about her looks normal, first thing I saw was her *** between her legs! Organs and limbs growing nicely....heart pumping away AND she was playing with her face - or scratching it!

She's 11.3cms and about 3 quarters of a pound - the sonographer said that's about 70% of the average weight for a bobo at this age so I'd better start drinking lots of water and eating more fruit and veg... Sad but nothing to worry about as she'll catch up soon. Is this right I wonder, with the weight thing....

Sonographer then had us stop dead in our tracks when she asked "when did I say she was a she? How long ago - two weeks?" She didn't sound very sure and I thought "please don't do this to me, I'm in love with my girl already!"....she then confirmed "see, no junk!"...hmmmn...

Also, my placenta is low-lying...the doc says it should move up in about 8 weeks, she'll do another scan at 32 weeks to check on it and check on my booboo.

If it doesn't move, they'll have to c-section me. Hoping it doesn't come to that...but whatever happens, just want Peanut to be out and to be ok!

Will upload pics soon, have to figure out how I did it the last time, I'm sure it's simple, just gotta spend 60 secs on it, gahh.

And yesterday, I went nuts in Baby Gap...came away with 3 BARGAINS and saved myself $80. Bought Peanut her first denim jacket 1969 - her Daddy's birth year! lol
DH bought her a skull and crossbones onesie...no pink yet for this chickidee!

Love...

I'm hooked! Bought her a woolly cardigan/wrap thing in black and another in red, just couldn't help myself. I have one similar and I am determined to dress this girl the same as me!

Need to get in touch with my Aussie friends to mail me some baby Uggs lol and we're set!

How fun...and.....last Monday, we went for dinner at a friends' place and just before we left, she came out with her 15 month old son's bassinet, saying 'here, all yours!'.....

Was so chuffed with that, they saved us from spending $200 and it's almost new - a 3 in 1 Classique Contours (it converts to a changing table and has a moses that you can lift out)...

Ohhhh, bobo's nursery has started...!

Congrats on your little girl!!!
The tech probably said she was in the 70th percentile, which actually means that 69% of babies at this gestational age are smaller and 29% are bigger. So she sounds well within normal Biggrin You'll learn all about percentiles once she's out as pediatricians use them often.

How exciting! Glad everything went fairly well outside of the low lying placenta, why I have also. Go back end of April to have it checked.

Thanks everyone!

Mandi04 - yep, that's what she said, I wasn't sure what she meant by 'percentile' so thanks for explaining! I'm kinda glad I misunderstood though because I have improved my eating habits somewhat straightaway - chomping at baby carrots, spinach, tomatoes, pears now for her. The thought of maybe depriving her of nutrition kicked my behind! That and the fact that I'm getting "too fat too fast" - according to my nutritionist! Lol

And here I am in Barnes and Noble having spent more money on a Lamaze book and the Caveman's Guide to Baby's First Year for DH...I'm in trouble but I just can't help myself!!

Veronica - keep me posted with news of your placenta...kinda worried about that and read stuff like abstain from sex etc...that's like asking a fish to live without water, I'm jumping on DH every day, I am a pregnant woman on heat...hoping it doesn't have to come to that!

Calling baby girl Lilo by the way - SURPRISE!

Yeah, we are having to abstain from sex til the next u/s. Just intercourse though so we still get to have a little fun.

Yay for a girl! It's so hard not to buy girl clothes. They are just so darn cute! I actually avoided the clothing sections when DD was smaller because I knew I had plenty of clothes and didn't want to be tempted to buy more.

Very glad that baby is all good and I hope that the placenta thing fixes itself but I agree with whatever gets her here safely.
