stuff

So, I took some time this morning to go through all my baby stuff-- what I have, made a list of what I need-- here it is... what do you think?
I have:
my pump, a couple bottles, and breastmilk freezer bags
4 nice baby blankets (don't think I'll need anymore)
the matching recieving blankets to his crib set (5)
bouncer (thanks to a friend)
monitor
bumbo (thanks to a friend)
and boppy
I need:
a BIG diaper bag (one good for accommodating cloth diapers-- cloth diapering moms, what do you use?)
his carseat (my dad is getting it)
disposable NB and size 1 dipes (I need sposies until he can fit into the cloth dipes)
some wipes
burp cloths (a friend is making him some)
Can you think of anything else? I really don't use the "extras" like baby bath tubs, swings, etc. I only have a bouncer and bumbo b/c somebody gave it to me. Smile And of-course, I already have a crib.

Clothes I have:
newborn clothes (August): 7 sleepers and 21 onesies/outfits
0-3 mths. (Aug. to Nov.): 11 sleepers and 13 onesies/outfits
3-6 mths. (Nov. to Feb.): 4 sleepers and 16 rompers (long sleeved and long legged)/outfits
6-9 mths. (Feb. to May): 0 sleepers and 3 outfits
9-12 mths. (May- Aug.): 0 sleepers and 0 outfits
12 mths. (Aug.): 0 sleepers and 3 outfits
Maybe somemore 0-3 mths. and 3-6 mths. and lol, I need to start buying for 6 mths. and up. Smile

have you heard of switcharoos.com? they do 2 shows a year one in the spring and one in the fall in Greenville and Anderson. maybe one of those would be close enough for you to get to. then you could get some awesome used stuff.

i think you've got everything you need or have listed.

Wow you are well prepared. I have very little. I have 2 blankets, 6 onesies, no burp cloths, 2 pairs each of socks, booties, and little soft bottoms shoes that DH and I couldn't resist, 4 outfits and 2 hats. I just found out yesterday that someone is buying a crib for me and I still need a carseat/ travel system, bottles, dresser, diapers, breastpump.....I need a lot of stuff. I haven't been able to do much because of being on bedrest. But as of yesterday I can move around a little more. Just can't over do it. So I stopped by a consignment shop called Once Upon A Child and boy was I in heaven. They have so much stuff in there. I only bought a dress and my daughter bought a little skirt with a matching onesie. I will most definitely be going back with DH. They have alot of nice things there and it's cheap. Prices ranging from $2.50 and up. The dress I bought is brand new and was only $3.50. So was the skirt my daughter bought. I really need to get a move on.

I'm lurking from Sept (might have a late Aug. baby) but the diaper bag just really depends on your personality. I've never needed a bigger diaper bag than I used with my first and I used sposies with her. In fact I really only use a diaper bag those first 6 months or so. After that I bring an extra diaper some wipes in a small wet bag and that's about it (with some things like a change of clothes/bibs/baby food/spoons/extra diaper in a diaper bag in the car). Really, when I'm running errands I'm gone a max of 3-4 hours so I never need more. I do want to get a huge diaper bag for longer trips (holidays mainly), I saw a pretty big one that came with a smaller one at Walmart the other day for only $20, so I might just do that.
Being only 19 weeks we have...nothing! DS1 is still a baby himself really though so we have almost everything we'll need. I need some clothes that will be more season appropriate since he was a December baby, we are getting a crib, I'm making the bedding, and we need more cloth diapers since I don't anticipate DS being out of diapers before this LO is born.
A word of advice, you probably won't want to use cloth right off the bat if you plan on circumcising. You can't really use the A&D they want you to put on the circ with cloth unless you use liners and it's a hassle. Someone on my Jan 2010 board had cloth actually stick to the wound too, so this time I'm probably waiting about 2 weeks before we start using cloth.

Wow! You are my idol. I really need to sit down and see what I have and don't. I need to be more organized like you.

I haven't even thought about looking to see what I have yet. Hopefully all of DD's clothes will sufice. The only things I really need are some diapers and an infant seat to bring her home (oh, and a name for the poor child, LOL).
You can always buy the 6+ month clothes after he is here. My kids grew so differently that I wouldn't know what season to purchase in those sizes. Good job on getting everything so organized!

Wow, you are pretty much set!

Burp rags were a waste for us. I just used receiving blankets instead, they were bigger and easier. But that's just me. You've had kiddos, you know what you like. Wink

We really just need some NB sposie dipes and eventually a crib and convertable carseat. But since the babe won't need the latter for quite some time after birth, I'm not too worried. Well, and s/he'll need clothes after s/he outgrows 0-3 month.

We have a mom's club consignment sale every fall and I cannot wait to get to it! I'm hoping to find a double stroller there. They have a 'pre-sale' if you sell stuff so I'm gonna try and do that!

I cloth diapered Daphne and I have a Skip Hop diaper bag (it's black and very dad-friendly). I got the smaller one and never had a problem. I usually had 2-3 cloth dipes, a few wipes and a wet bag in it, along with a change of clothes and my personal stuff.

I still need a double stroller, but we're buying one from DH's buddy who lives in Philly, just have to wait until DH has time to fly out and get it (It's a BOB Duallie and he's selling it for $100, so it's totally worth DH's time to go get it...DH flies for free with his job). I'm doing pretty good on clothes. We'll need a crib, but I'm struggling to find one in a natural finish that I like. I also need bedding, but trying to find something that will coordinate with Daphne's room has been hard, so I might end up getting them both new stuff.
