update us and question

I have missed you ladies so much, I can't believe that Lilly is 5 weeks today, and I never thought I would ever be so busy in my life, but we also have a new puppy too. i know crazy right. I will post pic's soon.
I will try my best to read through some post and get back here more often, I know your support is so wonderful and helpful.

ok so my question and concern is about poop, as you know I am breast feeding exclusively, but the last real poop Lilly had was on the 20th, so yesterday I had a nurse consult and weight check. Our nurse assures me that at a month old babies will find their own stooling pattern. well at the visit we learned that Lilly is now 10 lbs and 72nd percentile for growth which is good. she had a very small smear of yellow seedy poo, but still hasn't had a good poo. i repeat the nurse assures me not to worry she is not constipated, and will poo soon.
Lilly has had plenty of wet diapers so she is not dehydrated.

is is right for me to worry??? what do you think??

COngrats on the new puppy! What kind did you get?

I think 5 weeks is a bit early to not have a good stool. I'd get a 2nd opinion.

I LOL'd at your comment about being so busy. Trust me, it becomes "normal" after a while. Now, I have to say the same thing about TWO kids is super BUSY... lol. I guess it just reminds me that we all need our time to adjust, and enjoy as much as we can!
I'm glad you have a new puppy, I hope he/she brings you as much joy as your Buddy did. Please post pics when you can! Biggrin

As for the poop question, I am not BFing, but I do know from others that its normal to go a week to 10 days once they get a bit older. I'd watch her to see if she shows signs of being uncomfortable or in pain. if the doctor says its ok, I wouldnt worry yourself sick over it, but just be aware of it and keep your eye on her. I dont know if that helps or not. You can try reading the BFing thread if you havent already.

:bighug: thanks for updating us!

Sometime during the 4-6 week point, DD1 went from pooping 6 times a day to not going for over a week. After that she only had a poopy diaper every 1-2 weeks until 6 months when started real food. As long as she isn't in discomfort, I wouldn't worry about it.
