Well, I'm cleaning...

... but I'd much rather be relaxing. Beee No nesting, I'm having to force myself to do it-- I just keep picturing bringing my baby home and having nothing to do for a week and being able to spend that time with him and my other children and that's my motivation. I'm sorta discouraged b/c during a down pour yesterday afternoon, I noticed we have a HUGE leak in our living room window which will need to be fixed ASAP along with one other little home project-- wish I could get my guys (my dad and hubby) on the "nesting" ball! Anybody else wishing they had that nesting instinct to kick in? What's your motivation to get it done anyway?

My nesting instinct will probably kick in late - thats what it did with DS. the last week or 2 before he was born.

I am having moments of panic, trying to make the new house babysafe and toddler safe - and not as easy as it sounds. We need to get some deadbolts to lock the patio door - the current latch is at reachable height for him and man, I spend soooo much time pulling him away from the backdoor when we are inside. lol he loves playing outdoors.

My nursery is not even remotely near being set up. Only thing I have done is bought some decals for decorating the room... lol. DH can do the crib one night this week, and I'm starting to work my way through laundry and old baby clothes.

I so wish I would start nesting. I never had any nesting with DS but I assume that's because I didn't go into labor on my own. Was induced at 39 weeks. Who knows if I will with this one since I'll be scheduled c-section.

I started Friday. I took Friday off of work and had my mom and dad come down to help me. One watch DD while the other one helped me with baby stuff. We didn't get it all done but put a good dent in it. The car seats are in the car now and the baby clothes are washed. The diapers, wipes, bottles, etc are put away and the rockers/swings are put together.

All you ladies are my motivation, plus i had Dh help me since he has this long weekend. after I read this thread I had to go and vacuum our room, and have Dh move some furniture around.

We still have a big baby shopping trip to make, but i have almost got my Hospital bag packed.
I am slowly getting things done, but i am getting more and more tired.

Ugh - I'm totally lacking motivation at the moment. My whole house was clean 2 weeks ago when my parents came to visit. Now it needs to be cleaned again but I'm just so tired. We're headed out of town tomorrow for a funeral and I really wanted it clean before we left. At least I can take comfort knowing the mess will still be here when I get back!

I have no motivation at all. I ache too much to do much lately. We had friends over yesterday and I just screw it, this is how my house looks right now I am not going to stress over it, just focused on getting dinner and dessert made. I do however really want to get my sewing/spare room cleaned, so I can use it and also so I can use the bed once the baby is here, figure it would be nice to have the bed downstairs to lay down on instead of having to go upstairs.

I am with the rest of you...no motivation.

The baby's room is still under construction, the car seat needs installed, the baby stuff organized. This is #1 and I feel like I have no idea what I need and what needs to be done...it sucks. I am usually such a good doer and organizer and list maker and I have no desire right now (other than to sit on my tushy and watch TV).

I hope we all get there soon because they are coming soon. Smile

I never nested much with either of my previous pregnancies, but I am finding myself doing it this time. The house has been much cleaner the past several days and I find myself obsessing over stupid things like disinfecting the bathrooms over and over. I think tomorrow I will start organizing baby clothes. I've had this urge to install the carseat even though I never put it in until around 38 weeks. Hopefully that's not instinct, but hormones. I think I'm just focused so much on it because the 100+ weather is making it difficult to keep myself busy doing anything else!

we have been in "nursery"mode for about 2 months. we are almost done too, molding go up today and tehn we are just waiting for the carpet to be installed. after that, im sure the nesting will begin. every inch of my house is coverd with dust from mudding the drywall, and i do mean every inch. this is NOT gonna be fun Sad

DH and I did manage to get the baby's room cleaned yesterday morning. I still have a ton of baby clothes to get once I have my shower then I'll feel better. But we already have the swing washed and put together and the carseat washed and put together. I need to get the PNP from MIL. That will need to be washed. It's been at her house for awhile and while she doens't smoke in the house now, she used to and I'm sure it's going to stink.
