I asked DH to go with me and he did. There were 3 other women in the class but he was the only hubby. I was proud of him for going. I really think this is something we can handle. It mainly seems to be about limiting the bad carbs and just stretching your carbs out throughout the day and not eating them all in one meal. Also, eating the smaller amount of carbs in the morning.
All in all, I'm pleased with the class. I have to go back in a couple of weeks to meet with the dietician(sp) to see how things are going and how my blood sugar is going and if we need to tweek some things. She gave us her phone number and email etc. if we ever have questions. She seemed really realistic as well like if we have to eat out or fast food, how to handle those situations.
