What are you getting your LO's for Christmas?

I'm having a hard time coming up for gifts for Lio. With my DD, it was super easy. She was 9 mos for her first Christmas, and we also didn't have anything. Now we have an overabundance of toys so it's more difficult. But I don't want him left out. We bought him a plush rocking turtle that plays music, and a train set, though both of them my DD will play with long before he does. Wink He is good in the clothes department, so I can't really even just buy him clothes and stick them under the tree so it seems like he got stuff. And we have toooons of baby toys. What are you ladies doing?

I was going to get him a ball popper and a couple other things. WE won't spend much since he's so little. But he needs to have something from Santa so we'll do a few things.

Well, he's my 4th so some things are broken/worn out now. He's getting a floor mirror which amazingly we've never had...a Sohpie giraffe since I'd never ordinarily buy a teether that expensive Lol , some new toys for his car seat since my older kids have lost the ones we had and some robeez knock offs Smile My dad got him a musical table, which my other kids *loved* but when I stored it last time I forgot to take the batteries out and they leaked...leading to a toy that doesn't work anymore. My mom is getting his convertible car seat. Not sure what the ILs are getting him, I've told them 6-9 month outfits. We have a lot of sleepers and that but my older son was in 6-9 stuff during the spring/summer and Isaiah will probably be in them within 2-3 weeks so we need some winter outfits.

Omg, I wish one of my parents would buy him his carseat for Christmas! Mostly because they just want to buy him clothes (which we seriously don't need a stitch more of!) and toys that we all ready have.

What's a floor mirror? That sounds like a great idea! Where did you get it?

Yeah, it's super nice that she wants to buy it! She's always good like that when they are babies though. With the older kids she prefers to get them stuff they like Wink
A floor mirror is pretty much as it sounds, I got this one
http://www.amazon.com/Sassy-Crib-and-Floor-Mirror/dp/B002J4U8M0/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1323377648&sr=1-1
He loves mirrors so I'm sure he'll like it

Mac is getting a Sophie the Giraffe, a tray for his Bumbo seat (never had the tray with DD), a wooden teether and some hand puppets from Ikea. His stocking will have new pacifiers, a rattle and batteries for his swing.

So what's the deal with Sophie? I keep hearing people mention how great it is.... um.. it's a teether, right? What sets it apart?

Heck if I know BUT I do know there is NO WAY I'd be spending that much on a teether Smile

Well, I went to their website to figure out the details of what makes it so special and my virus protection software blocked a trojan horse virus from their site. Nice.

Em is getting some hanging toys for carset/playmat, a carseat arch toy thing, a personalized book w her name through it, and some teethers from us/santa.

From my sisters a highchair and toys.

From my parents an American Girl Doll (they are buying for all the little girls in the fam this year and want to make sure em has one too....waste of $$ IMO!) A big toy cube thing that has something diff each side. I'm not sure what else but I know there is a ton more. Oh professional pic package and clothes too

Sophie is freaking fantastic! Seriously worth the money, imo. I have the originally Sophie for my daughter, and at 20 mos, it's still one of her favortie toys! And a friend bought Lio the vanilla scented Sophie teether, and it's great, because he can hold onto it better (and my DD steals Sophie anytime I try to give it to him).

O completely know what you mean about the clothing, I have been asking family not to buy her clothing at all. Poor Lilly can't stay in many outfits for more than maybe 2 or 3 wears. I would go broke trying to keep her in clothing if i didn't have a great second hand children's store here. My grandma got pissed at me, but i told her no clothing. I think she already bought her clothing, why is it that everyone seems to want to buy my baby clothing, boring, yawn, she gets to wear things once or twice. Lilly is starting to wear 6 or 6-9 month because she is way too long/tall.

I plan on waiting until after Christmas to buy anything to see just how much clothing we get, this may sound bad but i plan on taking a lot back. Im not trying to be picky but i just dont want clothing she will never wear.

I plan on getting an activity center/ bouncy exersauser thingy for her if grandma doesn't get it for her.

Read the reviews about Sophie and I think you'll understand why kids like her. Camdyn is getting one for Christmas and she is also getting an Amber teething necklace.

So I just went and read the reviews and there seem to be quite a few about babies getting one of the legs shoved to far down their throat and choking. No thanks.....

I gave Camdyn her Sophie early. So far she really likes it. My other two can hardly keep their hands off of it too. Don't know about the choking. Doesn't really seem possible if the baby is somewhat coordinated and she's so soft, I doubt it's a big deal.

Lizzie is just starting to show signs of liking Sophie, so we'll see.

For Christmas she is getting, a couple of The Little Mister and Miss books. My DH loved them as a kid, so that's what she is getting. A Build-A-Bear teddy bear and a V-Tech laptop for 6-36 month olds. We also picked up this Fisher Price toy that you can stick your iphone in and it has free apps to go with it. Probably a little advanced for her now, but we downloaded the Elmo Calls app and she is glued to that.

My mom decided to buy. buy, buy for her and my 6 month old niece. I told her all I wanted was some 6-9 month pants and some 9 month and up clothes and 9 oz bottles, but it seemed to go in one ear and out the other.

We got Kendra one of those VTech balls that makes sounds when she plays with it and i found a bunchof the old school cartoons DVD's and stocked up on them. Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, ect. oh and i bought her the new Winnie the Pooh movie. i personaly cant stand most of the cartoons that are on tv these days.
