Born At What Gestation: Twins 30 weeks. Hailey was 3.12 and went down to 2.6 Avery was 2.11 went down to 1.9 sav 36 weeks (hardly a preemie) 6.6lbs went down to 5.4
Reason For Premature Birth: Pre-E HELLP IUGR
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured: Breathing, kinked intestines, eating issues
Legnth Of Stay In NICU: 6-7 weeks
How Are They Doing Now? All of them are doing well twins are both still very small 19 pounds and they are 2 and a half. Hailey has a slight case of Autism. Sav- no issues at all.

Born At What Gestation: 32weeks 5/7days
Reason For Premature Birth: I had PIH (pre-eclampsia)
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured: pulled out his IV (twice), NG tube, jaundice, diabetes checks (2 days of heel sticks)
Legnth Of Stay In NICU: 17 days (came home New Years day)
How Are They Doing Now? good I think, nippling everything, seems he's switched his days and nights but sleeping well (during the day at least ;) )

Due Date: March 10, 2009
Actual Birthday: January 16, 2009
Born At What Gestation: 32 weeks, 3 days
Reason For Premature Birth: Pre term labor, bedrest for cervical dilation and funnelling
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured:jaundice, on vent for a few hours, cpap for a day, feeding tube, etc. Also has ureterocele in bladder and one kidney which has problems

Born At What Gestation: 26 weeks, 5 days
Reason For Premature Birth: Unknown: thought to be pre-term labor caused by bleeding
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured: Low birth weight, Bradicardia's, Apnea, Immature lungs: only on 2 liters of O2, On caffiene, Jaundice, Feeding tube, On a ventilator for a few hours
Legnth Of Stay In NICU: 2 months, 1 week, and 2 days

reason for coming early: Placental abruption

Born at 30 weeks

he is doing pretty good now, still not sitting up or doing what other 6 month old babies are doing but he is getting there.

Actual Birthday: March 19, 2009
Born At What Gestation: 31 weeks, 1 day
Reason For Premature Birth: They're not really sure. I had gestational diabetes and am 40 years old. They were concerned about pre-eclampsia and decided to keep me overnight to check things out. I started dilating while there and delivered Levi via emergency c-section.
Medical Difficulties Preemie Endured: c-pap for 2 days, jaundice lights, NG tube, IVs
Legnth Of Stay In NICU: 30 days. We just discharged one week ago today on April 18th, 2009.
How Are They Doing Now? He's a preemie so there are always new things for us to freak out about..LOL..but overall he's doing great. He's been on breast since 32 weeks gestation and came home exclusively breastfeeding. I'm so proud of him. He's peeing, pooping and seems content, so I think we're doing great. Was 4 lbs, 13 oz at discharge.

Born At What Gestation: 34 weeks, 1 day
Reason For Premature Birth: Early rupture of membranes
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured: Intubated, UAC, Jaundice, 2 does of lung surfactant
Legnth Of Stay In NICU: 7 days total: 6 in NICU, 1 in step down unit
How Are They Doing Now? She's doing great, just working on gaining weight. She's averaging around 1-1 1/2 oz. per day weight gain right now!!!

Preemie's Name: Eleanor
Due Date: April 13, 2009
Actual Birthday:February 15, 2009
Born At What Gestation:31 weeks 6 days
Reason For Premature Birth: Shortened cervix, Preterm labor, she didn't want to stay in any longer
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured:Caught NEC at 8 days old. 2 intestinal surgeries with loss of Ileosecal Valve and parts of large and small intestine. Had an ileostomy for 6 weeks before she was reconnected. Quick snip of tissue beneath tongue, due to tongue tie.
Legnth Of Stay In NICU:She is still in NICU and hopefully will come home before the end of the month.
How Are They Doing Now? She is back to feeding after her last surgery on May 4th. Now up to 49cc's every 3 hours though has lots of gas issues. Born at 3lbs 12ozs., she now weighs 8lbs. 4ozs. Its been a bumpy road, but she's an amazing Lil Princess

Born At What Gestation: 35w
Reason For Premature Birth: No idea just went into labor at work
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured: Tiny bit of jaundice, slightly underdeveloped lungs, and seizure spells
Legnth Of Stay In NICU: Thankfully we didnt need a NICU stay this time
How Are They Doing Now? He is great. He was slow at first but is pretty much caught up now :)


Preemie's Name: Shane Alexander
Due Date: August 10, 2008
Actual Birthday: June 11, 2008
Born At What Gestation: 31 wks
Reason For Premature Birth: No idea. Started preterm labor at about 24 weeks and thankfully he stayed in as long as he did
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured: MANY brady spells...he was on oxygen a lot, he didnt learn to eat until he was nearly 2 mos, brain bleeds
Legnth Of Stay In NICU: Almost 2 months
How Are They Doing Now? He is very well. :) He is behind but thats ok! He will catch up soon enough. He is now mastering sitting!

Due Date: November 2nd, 2009

Born At What Gestation: 30 weeks, 5 days
Reason For Premature Birth: pre-eclampsia
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured: on c-pap for a few hours, was jaundiced for about 1 1/2 weeks, apneas/bradies--but she brought herself out of these without help
Legnth Of Stay In NICU: 3 1/2 weeks
How Are They Doing Now? Great! Only issue right now is reflux, but it is controlled with medicine. Is in the 30th percentile for weight, is a happy, healthy breastfed baby :D
