How Are They Doing Now? great! she's 3 1/2 months old and doing all sorts of things to impress mom and dad! She's more than tripled her lowest weight. She does have reflux and a milk allergy, but both are under control.

Reason For Premature Birth: PROM - Placenta was starting to get infected and there were problems with the placenta right from the beginning of the pregnancy.
Medical Difficulties Preemie Endured: Just the normal preemie things like jaundice and having to be tube fed.
Length Of Stay In NICU: exactly 3 weeks (21 days) -weighed 4lbs 13oz
How Are They Doing Now? She is doing Great!! As of 1 month old she weighed 5lbs 8oz and we are breastfeeding exclusively too!

Reason For Premature Birth: ??? I had a slight UI but not known why.
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured: They thought he had menengitis and was treated with antibiotics for two weeks, grade 2 IVH, CPAP for 5 days, Bilights for 1 day, apnea/bradicardia's, needed to breathe/suck/swollow before coming home.
Legnth Of Stay In NICU: 6.5 weeks
How Are They Doing Now? Great. Been home just over two months and is meeting milestones left and right. Born @ 4lb .5oz came home @ 7lb 6oz and at his two month check up (end of June) he was 11lb 4oz. Having issues with Early Intervention telling DH and I that he is behind, but everything they say he isn't doing he does. There wasn't anything that he actually doesn't do that they noted. Matthew has a follow up with the Neurological dept just to make sure no lasting effects from the IVH. Other than that his pedi and both DH and I are very pleased with his development.

How Are They Doing Now? My miracle is doing well. She is only two weeks old, but at her first check up last week, our Pediatrician said that she is doing great!

Reason For Premature Birth: I had heavy vaginal bleeding thru the pregnancy, hemorhages between the placenta and uterus, the placenta was detaching from the uterus at 29 weeks, severe weight loss for me, baby wasnt getting proper blood supply, she was slow in fetal developing, i had contractions at 16 weeks (meds didnt work to stop the contractions), and at the start of week 31 the amnionic fluid started to drop.
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured: low brith weight (3 pounds 15 ounces), apnea, rsv, spinal bacteria infection, pneumonia, jaundice, feeding tube, not able to hold body temp.

Born At What Gestation: 26weeks 5 days (1135g or 2lb 8oz)
Reason For Premature Birth: I had an infection in my placenta which got into his umbilical cord
Medical Difficulties Preemie Indured: Ventilated for 1 month, PDA - 3x courses of antibiotics but needed surgery to close (at 10 days old), clogged his vent tube and needed resuscitating about 5 times , needed a dose of steroids to get him off the ventilator, on CPAP for 6-8 weeks, Double Hernia repaired at 38weeks gestation, had a bad infection needed more oxygen and antibots, several MRI's due to white mass spots on his brain scans, Born breech and almost got crushed by my uterus so doctors had to aid him out then he was black and blue from the bruising, Jaundices, Has chronic Lung Disease, on oxygen for 2-4 weeks, Came home on Aponiea monitor (ummm I could go on, he had and went through alot!)

How Are They Doing Now?Yeah OK, since coming home we ended up back in hospital due to him having Aponieas, now he is quite delayed in his milestones
