The babies had their check up and vaccinations Both did well with the needles. Bradley weighs 9lbs and 5 oz, 21.5 inches long and Kaylee is 7lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long. Bradley had his herniated belly button looked at and its turns out the doctor doesn't think that it will correct itself so we have to have it surgically corrected My poor baby, I don't even want to think about it. We meet with the surgeon next thrus. so we'll know more then. I am assuming that they won't do the surgery until he is a certain weight.
Did anyone else have this issue with pervious children?
Update:We had our appt today and it looks like we are avoiding surgery...for now. We have to go back when he is 1 and she'll check it again.
Yay for a great appt. I am not sure about the belly button. Both of my girls have outies, so I am not sure if they will correct it at some point or not. They are not herniated though. They just need to strenghten their abdominal wall and it may correct itself. I am not sure at what age the doctor said that would happen though.
One of my twins needs to have his circ redone. It is messed up (not happy about it so don't get me started) but they told me they want him to be 20 lb's before surgery.
Hopefully the appt with the surgeon will be helpful. My dd has an outie (she's 9, and its still slightly outie, but they run in my family) as a baby it was more out and she had a hernia, but the doc said to wait and see, and the hernia part went away around maybe 6mo? IDK. It seems a lot of the time the ped will recommend surgery, and when you see the specialist you learn it isn't completely necessary. Our ped said surgery for our boys penile torsion, but in seeing the ped urologist we decided against it. It is purely cosmetic, and putting my babies under, not worth the risk.

I nursed my twins for 2years and 2 weeks! A little sad to be all done now.
