I'm sure this has been asked before, but what are the worst comments you have gotten while out and about?

The ones that bug me the most are "A boy and a girl, are they identical?" and the one I HATE the most (I think because I still think I want one baby, crazy I know) is "boy and girl, I guess you're done then".

A toddler girl peeked in the stroller and her mom insisted she pick a favorite. I was so shocked I pretended not to understand Spanish.

I also like when people make announcements. "They're not twins." "They are." "They're not identical." "They're not." Then I walk away.

I've gotten so many over the years. Smile

I always get "they can't be twins - they're a boy and a girl!" or "you should have them tested because they definitely look identical."

I hate "which one is the good one?" I don't mind stupid comments but that one really irks me

My father-in-law told me they aren't twins because they are boy/girl - just siblings born at the same time. Duh.

I do get the "you have a boy/girl so you are all set" but I definitely don't want more so I don't mind that one lol!!!

Its so nice now because nobody really catches on that they are twins. Once we ditched the stroller people stopped noticing the twin thing.

I don't really get too many comments anymore. I hate it when people say "You sure do have your hands full." Wow! I never noticed that, EVER!!! Honestly, I think the best conversation I ever had about twins was the Lowe's employee that told me how he and his wife really tried hard for twins, but only had a singleton. ROFL I am not really sure how you "try" for twins and I did not really want to ask that guy for details.

I get the "hands full" comments all the time. I don't even know what to say, most say it in a nice way, so I just smile. I have the older two with me most of the time, so they are right. lol

And then the, "How far apart are they?" "About a minute." "Oh! They're twins?" "Yup". I mean, I know that one is an inch bigger and 3-5 lbs heavier, but do they really look that far apart in age?

and then the insistence of them being identical or not identical.

and a few times we've had lots of stares from a few ppl, a few have been brave enough to ask, but I think more than a few think we have two sets of twins, since my older two are only a few inches and few lbs apart as well.

and of course, lots of, "Oh, I always wanted twins!"

The one that bugs me the most is when a complete stranger argues with me that ther are absolutely not fraternal- they HAVE to be identical! Ummmm first- they're my kids, so I know what they are and arent. One has bright orange hair and blue eyes and looks exactly like his mama. The other is a brunette with dark eyes and looks NOTHING like his brother. I seriously dont think they even look like brothers!

oooooh or the strangers that loudly, publicly ask if they came out of my vagina.

We get the same "they must be identical" comments. I know it is hard to see, but Keira has blue eyes and her hair color is lighter. Sarafina has brown eyes. I am pretty sure that means they are not identical. Lol When I point it out, most people do not argue with me.

As for the vagina comments, REALLY?? I have never had those comments. Thank goodness for that! Now watch, someone is going to ask me that soon! ROFL

This recently happened to me at a dr's office (the dr asked). I could not believe someone would ask this as the dr was not related to my pregnancy at all.
