    Default Licking...

Have any of you had issues with your kids licking people and things? When one gets in their mind that they want to be a puppy (especially Kiri) she goes up to everyone and licks them. all. over. nonstop. When you tell her to stop, she barks and pants. Then the others see her acting like a puppy and join in and start licking not only people, but furniture, toys, windows, you name it. They think it's hysterical. When does this phase end and how did you stop them from licking? I don't care about the barking aspect and everything else that goes with it (thankfully they don't use our dog's dishes), but the licking is just ewwwww!

DS did that a couple of times. He was mostly responding to our first reaction (which was to laugh & say ewwwww) but then he kept doing it & obviously it isn't really funny just GROSS!!!

In the end we made it about listening when we said not to do it as opposed to stopping just that behavior.

Thanks! She's now decided frogs are pretty kewl to pretend to be. So the other two are now starting to follow suit. Frogs don't lick like puppies do, apparently (we won't get into how they eat.) They just hop and croak, so I'm grateful for that! I'm glad I don't feel alone in this issue tho. Thank you!

Too funny (only because it is you and not me lol).

Abram does this hilarious new frog impression, he bounces up and down and says, "ih ih ih" as croaky as he can (I'm assuming it ribbit). Cracks me up, I need to get a video.
