I found out I was having twins very late in my pregnancy at the normal U/S date (aprox. 5 months pg).
The U/S tech was asking me weird questions, like if I was more sick than I was on my previous pregnancy, which I wasn't If I felt a lot of movement, etc. I looked over at the monitor and saw 2 somethings. I was like " :wow: are there 2 in there?" She replied, "ya, I was going to tell your husband to sit down first".

Good girl Jessica :bleh:.
Hi :wavehello:, my name is Esther. I'm 36yo, married to Jasper (4 years today) and Mummy to all boys. Identical twin boys Cameron and Tyler (6), Ryan (3) and Logan (nearly 5mo).
I live in New Zealand which is why I always post at odd times for you all .
I found out at nearly 13wks that I was carrying twins. I'd had two u/s's prior. One at 5wks due to pain and one at 7wks to confirm a heartbeat. I have the written report that was sent to the GP from the u/s place which clearly states that there was only one cardiac activity found at the 7wk u/s. My first thought when we found out was "OMG I don't want two! Push one back!"
esther your times arent weird to me! im a neighbour
hey im Hayley, im 19 and engaged to Geoffrey also 19 and we are the proud parents of 3 month old identical boys Caelan and Connor.
excuse the photo, only half decent one i could find- you can meet a multiples daddy too.
we fould out about our twins are 6.5 weeks, after Geoff had been joking about the fact that he thought we were having twins - guess he was right!
I'm Jessica 28, married to Coop 31 for 3yr, mommy to triplet girls Gabrielle, Caroline & Elizabeth (13mo). And boy, no one ever takes the camera from me  Here's me & Caroline from Halloween~
We found out at our 1st u/s at 8w that we were expecting multiples. It was quite a shock to us as we had been told only 6w prior that I couldn't get pregnant without help. I always say now that triplets is what you get when you tease your sister that she's big enough to be hiding a 2nd baby in there
Hi, I am Heather! I am 29 and have been married to DH Chip (30) since June 2002. We have been together since September 1995!
We are the proud parents of 18 month old twins Gerald Charles, III and Isabella Christine. We call them Trey and Bella!
We are both from Pennsylvania, met in college at the University of Delaware and now call New Jersey home. I am a stay at home mom and love it!
I had IVF so I found out I was having twins at 6 weeks 2 days! I had lots of bed rest (20 weeks of a 30 week pregnancy), so if you have any questions, I am your girl!
Here is a picture of me and the twins from February 2007
Hello, I'm Tina (31) married 11/6/04 to my wonderful hubby Tom (32). We have our wonderful girls Julianna Nicole and Olivia Grace born 11/8/06. We found out at 7 weeks we were having twins (ID) and were completely SHOCKED! DH had a panic attack in the parking lot outside of the office!!! Please excuse the wedding pic - it was the only pic of me (not pregnant) that I had scanned into photobucket!
My name is Kris (34). My DH, Cliff, is 35 and we are the proud parents to identical twin girls, MacKenzie and Madison. And we were blessed with another baby girl 6 months ago, Kira. We found out we were having twins at about 8 weeks only because I thought I was having a miscarriage because I was spotting. They did an ultrasound and found 2 little peanuts. We were thrilled! Then when I became pregnant with Kira I spotted for about the first 8 weeks or so. It is very stressful, but it just must be what my body does when I am pregnant.

I'm Carmen 25 married to Glen 32 since September 2006.
We have 2 year old ID girls Kiera and Kayden and are expecting a third baby girl due in about 2 weeks!

Hi! I'm Carleigh, married to Jeremy for 2 years (7 years in total). We are madly in love with our princesses, Gracie and Abby. Oh and we also love our dogs, SPCA rescues, Jill (border collie X) and Chase (German Shepard X).
I am Stacy (29 -- well in another week) and have been married to my best friend from college, Doug (29) for 5 years.
Doug and I tried to get pregnant for 4 years and suffered miscarriages before finally getting pregnant with our faternal twin girls, Sydney and Megan. We are still adjusting to being new parents and loving every minute of it!
I'm finally adding myself!
I'm Julie, 37, married 16 years this December to the love of my life, Jim (together for 21.5 years...more than half my life!). We live in Alaska with our five kidlets (see my siggy for ages): Samuel, Moriah, Susannah, Abigail and Bethany. In our family, boys come one at a time and girls come two at a time. We also have a new puppy named Hurley (after Bobby Hurley, Duke player in the 90's).
We found out about our first twins at 17 weeks and our second twins at 8 weeks. Both are fraternal, although our older girls look alot alike. The two sets of girls/experiences couldn't be more different!
I realized I have never add myself. Here goes:
My name is Erika (31) married to DH: Kyle (29). We were high school sweethearts and have been together for 15 years this October. (married for 7) We have a DD: Olivia Anne who is 27 months and the twins: Miriam Elizabeth and Chloe Lyla are 8 months. The twins were born 1-8-07 at 39 weeks, at home. They were also a waterbirth.
We found out about the twins at 20 weeks. We had no suspicion at all. I had promised DH we could find out the sex of the baby with our second pregnancy. I actually tried to back out of the ultrasound saying it was "bad Karma" and "besides our MW doesn't do twins" When we heard the question; "Do you know what that is?.......two heads" My first reaction was "NOOOOOO" and I bawled through the rest.
I guess I never posted my intro on this thread - oops! I'm Jen (30) and DH is Terence (34) and we are proud parents to Sean and Emma! We have known each other for 16 years, have been "together" for 10 years, and married for 3.5 years. We tried to get pregnant for two years and finally conceived twins through IVF. Here is a "pre-babies" pic of us - I wish I still looked this thin
I'm Kelly. I'm 24. DH Adrian and I have been together for 10 years (in nov) and married for 3 yrs (in nov). We have a 3 yr old and 6 month old twins. All boys!!! I'm a sahm and dh is a firefighter.
It's about time I officially introduced myself and my boys! My name is Kate, I'm 24 (got a birthday coming up at the end of April) and the first time mother of Riley and Kaden, identical twin boys. My husband, Donny, and I were only engaged for a few months when we found out I was pregnant. Needless to say, it was a bit of a shock! We were just getting comfortable with the idea of a baby when I had an US done at 6 weeks. It went something like this....
(US tech points to a really small circle with a flutter)"There's your baby!"
(DH studies the screen for a few moments and points to the same flutter)"If that's the baby, then what's THAT??" (points to second small round flutter)
(US tech has big smile on her face)"You're too smart for your own good."
(Self and DH)"There's TWO!?!?!?"
Followed by any possible variations of the following you can think of: "OMG, holy sh*t, you've got to be kidding me!" Etc, etc, etc.
DH attempted to jump out the window....
Kidding, but he thought about it! So did I, in fact. 8 months later, Riley Christopher and Kaden Nicholas made their squalling debuts on a lovely Sunday afternoon in January. A few days after the birth, DH's father sent out an e-mail to friends announcing the birth of the boys with the finishing line of, "Donny hasn't come down from Cloud Nine yet, but we're optimistic he'll return to Earth soon." Three weeks later, the colic started. DH's feet are now firmly cemented to the ground. I'm told it ends. Dear lord, I hope so!!
I've gotta figure out how to get pics on here. Promise, I'll post some soon!
I'm Jessie and I have 3 girls: a 2 y/o and newborn/full term twins! Here's some pics!
I'm new to the board- my fraternal twin girls are now four weeks old. Hubby and I tried for several years before turning to IVF. Our first baby didn't make it because of a lethal anomaly, but our third IVF cycle was twins and we're very happy to finally have them here after a tough pregnancy- full of threatened pre-term labour and lots of bed rest.
One day I might do it all again.......
First of all, let me say I am still trying to get the hang of photobucket, so these pics might be a little large!
My name is Shana ( 28 ) and I have known my DH Jeremy ( 31 ) for years! We have been married 4 years and we found out we were expecting twins in Febraury 2008. Donnie and David are monozygotic and were born healthy at 34 weeks and one day. David experienced some difficulties in the NICU and he continues to improve.
33 weeks pregnant / 3 weeks post-partum
Hello! I'm Stacy and my DH is Jason. We got hitched in April of 2007 and tried to get pregnant pretty soon after. Our wonderful RE+Clomid+Follistim on the first try brought us our twin boys! Life has never been crazier...or better. William & Evan were born November 28, 2008 - (one day after my 31st birthday ) c-section at 36 weeks 3 days. They were perfectly healthy - we are so blessed!
Hello ladies! I'm a multiple Daddy, Jeremy (33) and DW is Daydra(36). We have ID twin girls that were born about 4 weeks ago. We've been together for a little over 5 years. Found out we were pregnated with twins at the 6 week US. The girls are a joy to our lives and we now have our family we've always wanted.
hi everyone!! i'm jenny (27) and DH is torey (27). we were married on valentines day 2007 and have been together since 2004. we've always wanted to be parents to at least 2, but never dreamed it would be at the same time. i do think i jinxed myself by always saying, "i want a little girl so bad i'll probably end up with twin boys.". while yes i still want a little girl, i cannot picture our lives without our beautiful ID twin boys!!! i never really understood how strong a parents love was for their children until now!!
we are definitly double blessed!!!
2 days old
Well I love these intro threads, so here goes.
I'm Leah, age 25, and DBF is Steve, age 24. We've been together for 6 years. Here's a pic of us from a pumpkin festival near our city a couple years ago.
We knew we wanted kids in the future, and we were kinda trying, but were still surprised to find out I was pregnant in April of 2009. Then, May 15th, 2009, a day I will NEVER forget, we found out we were having twins! This was a complete shock since twins do not run in my family and especially given that I had been told a few years before that I couldn't get pregnant. I had a tough pregnancy involving almost 6 weeks of bedrest, and due to preterm labor, delivered my fraternal twin boys at 30 weeks 3 days gestation. Here is my last preggo pic, a week before I delivered:
Here are the "Beans" at birth, Isaac 2lbs15oz, and Gabe 4lbs.
But they kept growing (two weeks old)
And eventually came home (two months old)
And they love to snuggle (three months old)
Now they are chunky monkeys! (five months old)
We have been through a LOT and parenting twins is really hard sometimes. But it is totally worth it, and I understand more and more every day what "doubly blessed" really means. I love my Beans!
I am Tamika 30 and DH is Mike 29 (30 next month). We are the parents to ID twin girls. We have been together for a little over 10 years now. After about 8 years of dealing with infertility with IUIs and 3 IVF attempts I gave birth to the loves of my life, Laydon Aubrey and London Avery at 34 weeks 2 days gestation. They were in the NICU for about 3 weeks, but are home now and thriving!
We had our first children, fraternal twin girls on: November 3rd 2010
Hello! My name is Alicia 37! My DH Chris 39 and I have been married for almost 16 years now. We have 3 boys ages 15, 11 and 4. We just found out on December 20th that we are pregnant with ID twins. I am still hoping by the grace of god that they just can't see a second sac right now.
Jillian and Jocelyn
Hey, my name is Melani (21) and my DF is 24. We had twin girls on Feb 16, 2011. They were due April 7th. One is still in the NICU and one is home. We are hoping that the one will be home very soon. Their names are Mackenzie Kai and Zoe Nicole. They are the light of my life and wouldn't want it any other way. I love my girls, and of course their daddy.
