my babies are about ready to crawl! They can get up on all fours and they are rocking. Any day now they will be crawling.
It is exciting but I am nervous. I don't know what it is going to be like with two little ones crawling around the floor. I remember it was hard to keep up with one. Now I have two. Plus I have an additional hazard - a 2 yr old girl. I caught her trying to feed them the other day (popcorn).
She tries to help but it definitely makes life more dangerous for the boys.
Make sure you get that on video, it's so cute when they start. I'm so scared of when these two start crawling. I think K is going to crawl early because she is already getting her knees under her in her crib to move her around.
:) Oh yea, it is going to get real interesting for you now! We used a super yard to contain the girls until they were really walking. It helped to give all of my kids safe areas to play. Now, we just have to deal with occasional legos finding their way into our living room. It is essentially a toddler zone, but that is not totally fair to my 8yo. So, we do our best to keep little toys away from them. Thankfully, they are pretty good with most things. I worry more about crayons and markers because when you have two racing around at once, you cannot police the safety of your walls and other objects as easily. We have had crayon on our plasma TV, the girls' kitchen, and attempt to color our couch. Keira even found a bathtub crayon and colored on the wallpaper in the our bathroom. Thankfully, those crayons wipe right off. :) All of those incidents have been because my DS left his art supplies unattended!
I'll just say ditto to this! The superyard (we doubled ours so they had more room) was awesome, but I can also picture your 2 yr old crawling in to join them, which our dd J did as well. If you're fine with that, I'd recommend it. And the crayons/markers are no joke! Nevermind, them eating them or coloring themselves or each other for that matter... I have no idea when they've managed to write on our walls, but they are decorated with their flair! If we catch who did it, they wash it off themselves. The rest, well... we need to do some spring cleaning! Bath crayons are banned at our house, haha! Chalk was also a lovely mess they loved to chew on. Ew! My favorite was when they could get to the dog bowls... lovely mess, especially when Miss J got into the dish soap and poured some into our dog's water. Oh the splashes, bubbles, and squeals! Sadly, your peaceful days are about over again! Embrace them while they last! Oh, and don't forget to take pictures of these new discoveries! :)Quote:

Leah is definately my stronger girl. She has been rocking on her hands and knees for several weeks although neither are even sitting up yet. I am going to have to get a playyard at some point, but boy they are $$$$. Izzy is into everything and I am so afraid that she is going to give the girls something they arent supposed to have!
Wow. I don't know how you guys do it with twins plus older kids. Nuts!
