    I thought this was interesting. It isn't anything mind blowing, but my family is part of the 1 in 30 children is a twin statistic for 2009. I am not really sure why this surprises people. Not only are women having babies later, but the advances in fertility treatment, along with couples who are more willing to seek out assistance with having children make it logical that we would see an increase in multiple births. There are still a lot of spontaneous twins out there though. I think our board is a pretty good mix of twins conceived spontaneously and twins that are the result of fertility treatment.

    I read this recently. You would think with going out with twins and everyone telling you everyone that they know that also has twins, that it would be way higher than one in 30. lol.
