What do you do...

When your babies start changing their schedules. Right now, they aren't wanting to nap together. Brad will be more then ready to go down and Kaylee is no where near wanting to go down. But I put both down together and K will end up just sitting in her crib, talking quietly to herself, until she gets tired enough and falls asleep. The problem is is that she usually doesn't fall asleep for about 1/2 hr 45 minutes after B. then he'll wake up shortly after. Is there anything I can do to get them back on the same schedule?

I think just keep at it. My boys do this somewhat. Abram always takes at least 20minutes longer to fall asleep than Wyatt, and I have to sit in their rooms to make sure they are not getting up, and Wyatt of course wakes before Abram, but I think if you keep at it, maybe she will go back to the regularly scheduled program. Hopefully!

I agree. Just keep at it. My girls do all sorts of things with their naps. Sometimes, they take them. Sometimes, they don't. Sometimes, they play forever, then take a nap. The one thing that I do is make them lay down at the same time. Now, that is easier with 2 yos than it is with infants.

For naps, I put them both down at the same time but in different rooms. They go to sleep at different times but I just let them lay there (well, Ashton may be holding onto the side of his crib jumping) until they fall asleep. They never sleep the same amount of time but they at least have quiet time in a crib at the same time.

Which ever one wakes up first gets a little one on one time with mom, which is nice. Usually whoever sleeps longer during the morning nap will sleep less in the afternoon.

Well, I started forcing her to wake up when he did so when he is ready for bed, so is she. So i think that problems fixed But now for about a week and a half, they have been going to bed, sleeping through to 4 in the morning. When they wake at 4 though, they think it's time to get up and the want to stay awake. I can usually get Brad back down pretty quickly but Kaylee is a different story. She screams if i try to put her back down. I usually go downstairs, put her in her swing and lay beside her on the couch. And yes, I'll turn On the tv and let it a babysit her!!! What else can u do at 4 am?! Any suggestions for that?

My girl also wants to play in the night now. We fill her up good, strap her into a bouncy chair, give her a book, and knock out next to her on the couch for easy pacifier recovery.

I used the swing for stubborn mid-night sleeping babies until they were at least 1. lol. I needed my sleep, as did they, even if they did not know it. Smile
