We will be going through Bryan Peterson's 2nd edition book titled "Understanding Exposure".
Each week, starting on October 30th, we will go thru, as a group, each Chapter's exercises. Please ensure you read the Chapter's that we will reviewing for each week. Each chapter's exercise will have its own thread. Ask questions if anything is unclear in the chapter. Remember, this is a group effort, there is no right or wrong. We are all going thru this as a trial/error. Don't be afraid to chime in whenever possible. Getting feedback is a great way to learn.
Let's keep the post processing minimum on the pictures if possible just sharpen for web.

How will this study group help you? I read this book but not every chapter. I skimmed through a lot of it. I think doing this book like this as a group will help me proceed in my skills in photography. I've actually been kinda down about my photography lately, so I'm really glad we're doing this right now.

How will this study group help you? I am continually learning trying to improve my skill set with portrait photography. Structured study will be a great addition to my own practice and research.

Camera & other equipment: Canon Rebel XT, kit lens
What you like to do for fun: Aside from photography, horseback riding, cooking/baking, running
How will this study group help you? How will it not? I've only been taking (real) photos for the last 2 months, so I need a solid foundation to build on. I think this will be perfect! I can't wait!
El - can you take out Dec 18 - Dec 31 and rearrange the schedule accordingly? I think two weeks off at Christmas is a good idea, and will let anyone who is behind at that point to catch up if they have free time over the holidays.
Camera & other equipment: Canon 50D, Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens, Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens, Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens, 430x Speedlite
What you like to do for fun: Besides take pictures? I like hanging out with my friends. I really enjoy scrapbooking but haven't had the time the last few months to do it.
How will this study group help you? It will reinforce the things I already know, and hopefully make me an even better photographer.

How will this study group help you? I need this review in the worst way. I find I'm shorter and shorter on time for my photos, so I need to be able to 'get it right' the first time around. everything builds off of getting the basics down pat, so this is just what I need.
Camera & other equipment: Nikon D90, kit lens 18-105mm f/3.5, 70-300mm
What you like to do for fun: take pictures, cooking/baking, watch movies, travel
How will this study group help you? Since I've only had my DSLR since June '10, I really need the practice! I find that I learn best when I have others to feed off of, so I look forward to working with you all on this project!
My "babies" are Abigail (6/06) and Caleb (1/08 )
