OK, I was inspired yesterday to pick up my camera for some new self-shots, as much as I HATE my own pics usually.....I hadn't done any real self-portraits since last year.
ACK I really hate posting pics of myself but I wanted to get CC on these, since I haven't had much chance to do people photos in a long while.
I set these up and Eva helped me by pressing the wired shutter remote button since the darned cord isn't nearly long enough for me to do it, especially with the 50mm lens! LOL
I know they aren't perfect (and my hair wasn't the best lol) but please tell me about my editing, and/or what could be better. I know the grass in the background is pretty bright.
Trying to get my editing consistent in a series like this.
1. 1/500, f/2.8, ISO 400, 50mm....this was actually a vertical shot with much more of my front and my right arm but my left arm was not in the pic.....so I cropped heavily.....
2. 1/800, f/2.8, ISO 400, 50mm
3. 1/500, f/2.8, ISO 400, 50mm
4. 1/800, f/2.8, ISO 400, 50mm
Amy, I think you did a beautiful job with these! You look beautiful! I like #1 best. Not much time for CC other than that, but wanted to say they're gorgeous.

I personally think these are GREAT! I love #1. This is my fave. I think your shirt in the other ones kinda distract me b/c it is not sitting right. I think your exposure and color are SPOT on though! Great job! Way to go Miss Eva!
Can't really do colour CC, on my work laptop (supposed to be working). I think you did a great job, I've never successfully done a self portrait. You did a wonderful job both you and the pictures are beautiful. #1 is absolutely beautiful, I'd love to see the original.

Great job, Amy! Editing looks consistent to me. #4 is tricking me. I feel like it's OOF, but at the same time I don't feel that way. Your eyes look sharp, but for some reason your teeth look soft. Not sure if it's just me or not, though. I agree about the background being a little bright, but I think exposure on you looks nice.
Thank you all!!!
Sadie, yes that bothers me too (my shirt twisting) I kept trying to fix it but the way I had to sit (on my back porch step and facing the camera just right to get in the frame) made it hard.
Amanda, I will try to post the uncropped version.
Stephanie, yes in #4 it's tricking me too--parts of my face do look OOF to me too but to me it looks like cheeks & nose are OOF, lol.
awww thank you Tina!
