    Default 1 for cc-JMK

Here I go again with my over the top pp! What do you think?

    aperture 2.8, ss 1/125, iso 100

here is sooc...i'd love to see some other variations of conversions, if anyone is bored LOL!

PS-I had my first try at watermarks, and I want it to go across the whole photo, like a bar...but couldn't figure out how since the brush will only get so big. Help! TIA

I'm also wondering the same thing about the bar style watermark as well. I had a heck of a time trying to figure that out! I gave up haha!

I think you have nice comp on this one, and very nice catchlights. The conversion, to me, seems too dark in some places, but too bright in others.

I really love the expression you captured. He has a "moody" and serious look on his face, so I like the idea of b&w for it. I don't know the first thing about b&w conversions, waiting to see what everyone else has to say!

I am not much help as I just am trying my first BW conversions, but I like the BW over the color. Nice Shot!

loved the shot but thought I'd give the bw a try myself...here's what I came up with.

    048wm copy

My steps - color balance + yellow and mask around skin (just a pinch), convert to bw using gradient map, levels to brighten dark areas and midtones, portraiture to help smooth where his face is cold, sharpen for web.

Oh, thank you! I love it too! I reeeeallly want to learn Photoshop better, because I don't even have the first clue how to do all the steps you took to achieve this bw. Thanks though, I like it better. Shows off his eyes more, which is why I like this pic in the first place.

With PSP I fill in the rest of the "bar" with a rectangle shape brush in the same color & opacity of the watermark brush layer that I used.
