OK thanks! Now that I look at it more, I agree it's a bit strong. I'm going to redo it and back off a bit.
Tara, first I did a curves layer on her face & hair because it was a tad dark/dull, then toned down the color just a tad, and then I tried out a "frosty" action that was featured at Flickr, but I only set it to about 40%.

I do like the 2nd edit much better! I agree, it was a tad bit too much. But, that is just my opinion, and if you like it, GO FOR IT!![]()
I see what you were going for with the frosty action and I kind of like the vintage-like feel it gives, but I agree that it is a bit harsh. Of course since I don't know how to PP I can't offer any advice on how to tone it down!
And about the hand chop - some of my favorites of my son are crazy looking because of hand chops, but they are some of my faves![]()
Maybe mask HER back in after you do it. I like it on the background, just not her and her jacket. Does that make sense?
Thanks! YES I was going to say earlier that I like the way it makes the background look, so yes maybe I'll do just that![]()
I didn't mind the first edit. the only thing that jumped out at me was her eyes seemed a little over done. the whites are too white and seem flat instead of lumionous.
