2 for CC

My BFF and I went out the other night and I just happend to have my camera, we ended up having an impromptu photo shoot. I have a couple for CC, Im really nervous about posting them actually lol, but I need to get CC on them.

The first one is back lit. I know parts of it is blown, but is it ok to blow parts because its backlit? I have no idea about that...
Exposure 0.002 sec (1/640)
Aperture f/4.0
Focal Length 45 mm
ISO Speed 400
Amy

This one she was facing the sun so shes squinting which is a little offputting. I would have turned her more but we were on a track so not very nice scenery behind if she had of turned.
Exposure 0.001 sec (1/800)
Aperture f/13.0
Focal Length 189 mm
ISO Speed 400

You should never be nervous posting! I think you have some good images here!

#1 - Is it an in camera crop? I wish her feet were there. Does it need straightened slightly? I think that blown parts are ok when you're backlighting, as long as it's not distracting. I think you have to do it in order to get your subject exposed correctly.

#2 - Love the rich colors here! She is squinting, and almost looks angry, but I was having that problem yesterday with Carson. He actually started covering his eye up Wink So I know how that goes!

#1 - I'm not sure if blown spots on a backlit photo is *technically* ok, but it doesn't bother me too much. I really like this one! But I agree with Steph, I wish I could see her feet.
#2 - Again, ditto Stephanie. She looks kind of angry in this one. It looks like there are a lot of trees around, maybe you could have turned her just a bit to avoid the direct sun on her face. The colour looks nice to me though.

Good job!

I actually really like #1 with the blown spots...I guess I kind of expect it with the sun in the position it is. I really don't like the black tight things on her legs because it's too dark for the soft, hazy look the rest of the photo gives. I love her dress and would love to see another photo shoot of her in it with the backlighting!

The foot chop was an in camera crop, I cant believe I did it, I'm so PO'd about it lol.
The socks are not my thing, but they are soooo her. We should have tried some without them in hindsight, next time we will!
I'll post a couple more with the backlighting..
