2 for CC - JMK for V-day

I don't post much of my little guy...mostly because at 21 months he wants nothing to do with the camera, but these are a few i took to use for valentine's day. Just wanted to add too that is my crimson seamless, but i think because of my light struggles, it made it look pink this time around. But since it's for V-day, I didn't think it'd matter. Smile

settings for both: 1/160 f/2.5 50mm iso 1000 (i know, probably way too high?) TIA Smile

what a cutie!!!!! for the high ISO, I'm not seeing grain. but on the first one, I feel like his sweater is too much in focus, if that makes sense. love the light in his eyes, you really got great captures!

#1 is super cute. I actually really like the pink background. The sharpening for web looks a bit too strong...be careful with that stuff! LOL

THese are great! I think the pink background rocks with this sweater! Love the light in his eyes. You might try to lasso the spot on the sweater that is bright/oversharpened and mess around with it. #1 is soooo cute!

Very cute! The only thing that bugs me is the white spot by his elbow in the second one. Maybe you could clone it out.

LOVE LOVE *L*O*V*E* #1! I have that same crimson bg and it quite often looks pink when done w/ pp. It really works HERE though!!!

I like #2 as well, even w/ the white chair showing. But I just ADORE #1. That smile is just contagious and his eyes look AMAZING!

See the way it is cropped it caught my eye first thing and you really have to look to see that it is a chair. I didn't notice until you said it was a chair. If you are using a prop, I personally think that you have to take this into account when you crop.

Oh i agree with you steph, and didn't realize that it looked like that when i was cropping. Do you think that it's better to clone out the part by his elbow and leave the seat part or just try a different crop?

Thanks for the feedback all...his smile IS contagious Smile

What a sweetie pie! The pics look great, I especially like how you captured the expressiveness in his eyes. IMO, I think they could be softened a teensy bit. I also agree on cloning the chair in #2. My son would probably not sit in a chair on command, either!

I think if you could see more than a sliver on the side (of the vertical part) it would make more sense that it is a chair and probably wouldn't need to be cloned but I don't know until I see it. I would try a few crops before cloning. Always do the easiest thing possible IMO.
