Alright ladies, I have been out of photography all winter. I felt so still and nervous. Possibly b/c this was only my 2nd E-session ever. First one being my brothers. She had some particular poses she wanted, and I was game! Here they are. I have a few more at home, but figured I would post these for now.
1. f/8.0 (she had a sign to the right, so I was trying to get it all in focus, but it didn't look right), ISO-800, 1/125
2. f/3.5, ISO-800, 1/640

I like these both, but #2 is my favorite. It's such an intimate shot w/out being TOO intimate (). Your conversion looks really nice. You might consider a grunge texture for this one - I think it would compliment the worn jeans, etc.
#1 looks slightly tilted to me - is it on a hill? it seems to slope slightly toward the left. I love the warm glow on them - seems quite appropriate for this type of session.
Would love to see more!
Best,
GiGi
I like them both, but #2 is my favorite! LOVE it! I agree about tilting #1 just a little. I wish the guy was wearing nicer jeans, but I know you have no control over thatI'd love to see more from this session!
Yes, #1 might be slightly tilted. I can't put my finger on it, but for some reason they look slightly soft. It's like the clarity isn't there for one reason or another. I'm wondering what would happen if you raised your SS higher. I was getting some soft photos, until I started making sure my SS was super high. Then I noticed my images getting crisper. I also am using back button focus, spot focus, and one shot. What is your focus method? I love the pose here. Now, just getting super nitpicky, I would have liked you to move slightly to the right, so you could have framed them even more with the lighter colored leaves. I think that would really draw you in to them even more than you already are.
#2 looks so much crisper than #1. And I can't help but notice that your SS was a lot higher than in the first. This one is my favorite too. Love the hand placement for both of them. Great job!!
I have other ones of #1. I might need to look through it. I am 95% sure this one they were in focus, but I could be wrong. It does look a bit soft here. I also don't like when I don't shoot more open. I was just trying to get that sign in the photo, but it didn't work. I am going to look through them again tonight.
I agree with Steph in that #1 looks a little soft. I love #2 though
I agree with all of Stephanie's cc. I do like them overall. But #1 is very soft. I see a bit of what I think is green color cast on the man's back pocket stitching in #1, which at first made me think the jeans were grass-stained.
