Last year I took Evan to a studio and while I liked the props I now find so much wrong with the pictures. They have the big numbers so it was kinda cute having him stand beside it. Well while I am not that good I still don't want to pay just for the props.
Does anyone have ideas that I can try? I don't have the best house for natural lighting and I don't use any flash. Its starting to get fall here so while I remember a few months back someone did a 2nd bday smash cake I don't think I could do that outside
Maybe you can use a block with the number 2 on it and let him play with that? Or a "2" birthday candle, assuming he won't try to eat it. And .. hmm.. maybe even little party things from party central or something.. he'll think they're new toys and be happy in the photos, too! You could always do a cake smash, too. They're fun. Otherwise, just shooting him natural would be my best advice. Ohhhhhh, get some helium ballons and tie them to a little toy and take some with balloons, those are fun, too!!
how about a little cupcake with the number 2 on it somewhere outside on a nice patch of green grass with some trees in the background or something nice? i don't know... i'd do a cupcake with the #2 and go from there
I did a cake smash for Benny's second bday - that might be what you're referring to. I also recently did lots of balloons for a third birthday shoot. As long as it's festive, it'll be fun. Have him hold up 2 fingers if he can. 2 candles on a cupcake. 2 balloons. etc
