Default 3 for CC - flowers

Ok, so I NEVER photograph this type of stuff other than snapshots. I was looking at my vegetable garden today and saw the flowers on my dill and thought I'd try.

ANY and ALL CC welcome as I have no idea what I'm doing with flowers, nature, etc.

The 1st one has great bokeh but not enough focus; the 2nd two are better focus-wise; B&W works well with this plant, although I do love the delicate yellow-green of it too.

My fave here is #2 for the comp & bokeh but #3 is also pretty, very lacy.

I like #1 and #3. You might play around with bumping up the contrast, just to see what the shots would look like. Still, I like the delicate feel of them.

I'm like you - I very rarely shoot florals or the like, but I'll throw in my $0.02 worth ...

    1. I love this one. I love your use of the shallow DOF. It feels soft and whimsical. Dainty. Color and exposure look really good to me too.

    2. This one doesn't do too much for me in b&w. maybe a bit more contrast would help as my eye seems to have a hard time figuring out where to focus.

    3. this one DOES work for me in b&w! maybe it's because more of it is in the focal plain. Any way around it though, I love this one!

    TFS!
