So we have a tradition of opening one gift on Christmas Eve. I opened one from DH, and it's Photoshop CS4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ack!!!!

Of course, now that I'm totally used to PSE7, I'm a tiny bit wary of jumping into CS4, but I know it's worth the leap.

Can you believe it!? I'm in shock!!!!! But now I need to actually purchase and download it (he didn't give me the actual software, he gave me a printout that said to buy it).

but hello learning curve!!! I had a total routine down with PSE, and now I have to relearn it all. I have my first image open now, but no time to really play. on top of that, I got a cool new seat for my desk but it's too tall so I have to figure out a new system altogether, as my monitor is too low for proper editing. it's an inflatible ball seat, so I can't adjust it. I asked for it so I could work on my posture plus do exercises with it, but first I have to figure out how to better use my desk - everything is too low for this seat. ack!
