Hi! I've lurked here since I joined pg.org forever ago, but never thought I would ever be able to learn to operate a DSLR. This past year I got fed up with my point and shoot and my blurry pictures and asked for a DSLR for my Christmas/birthday/anniversary present. In October my husband bought me (us ;)) a Canon T2i. We also got a few lenses, a 60mm macro and a 17-55mm f/2.8 constant aperture. We also have photoshop elements 9. Since my husband had some photography background (he took a few classes in college), I never really shot on automatic, and moved straight to manual since I had someone that could teach me the basics. We've been doing a project 365 to learn to use the camera better and learn some techniques. About 2 weeks ago our shutter failed and we had to send it to canon to be fixed, and we just got the camera back on Monday.
I can't wait until I have something to share. I have a few good "lucky" shots, but I've learned so much just in the last 2 weeks when I didn't have my camera I can't wait to get out and try some things out.
I have two girls, Fiona will be three tomorrow  and Rowynn will be 1 in March.
