Sorry this is so late guys!!! It totally slipped my mind.
ANYWAY ... I thought this month we'd look at textures. Whether you are photographing subjects with distinctive textures or whether you are using textures in your post processing to enhance an image, let's see them here.
I've just been learning about processing with textures lately. I'm still pretty new to it, but it's fun. I've also been trying my hand at making some cards, so here's some texture work on some cards I've made this week with a couple of my photos.

I took this awhile back and added this rugged texture - as you can see my erasing skills is not all that good.. lol

Just chug-chug-chugging along.
Any good places to get some free textures? I only have one I actually somewhat like....
Here's my one play. Hopefully I will find a better texture for this one...
Tracy - those are truly lovely! I especially like the texture on that second photo. Your composition is very nice in that one and the texture seems to be perfectly suited to it.
El - LOVE LOVE LOVE the rugged, grungy texture here! It really sets off the subject.
Sadie - I have used www.textureking.com for free textures. I know there are other places, but honestly, I don't use a lot of textures (thus the purpose of this assignment - LOL). You might also just try google images. I like the texture work here.
How would you guys feel about posting a version of your photos without the texture so that we can compare and see the full effect that the texture had on it?
Again, great work guys!
Thanks ladies. I am excited b/c I like textures, and I will definately look for at those sites later....
Here is an oldie but goodie - I thought.
Ok, so here it is without it, and then here is another take with a diff texture. I like this one better...
