I wonder if Nikons are as good in that department. Must check for my D7000. Thanks for the tip, ladies

Suzanne, I actually hear that Nikon has the better focusing system in general. Canon's been developing the video function, while Nikon has been developing their focusing system. There's one pro photographer that I love who recently switched everything she had from Canon over to Nikon to get better focus! I can't even imagine how much that cost!

Awesome, Stephanie! I really like to hear that. I only wish I had my camera here with me now to go ahead and set it up.

So....I thought I was back button focusing, but I wasn't! omg... Anyway, I'm slightly confused. Do you hit the * button and then the shutter button? Or do you press the shutter halfway down and then the * button and then take the picture. I played around with it a little today, but couldn't figure out the correct way.

You hit the * button and then the shutter The awesome thing is, you can take pictures even faster because you don't have to refocus every time you take a picture. That is, if you or your subject doesn't move

Steph's instructions are right. But you do have to make sure your camera is set up for it (see earlier posts), which was my previous mistake. I tried it without setting the camera properly and could not figure out why it didn't work! :O

I LOVE BB focus! OMG!! My focus button is the 'AF-on' button, btw, on C-Fn. 3. It works just as well for me with that button so I may just keep it.
