    Default backlighting for cc

My kids and I went to feed the ducks in a nearby town. I finally got lots of pics of them together that I love! yay! I played around with backlighting and some sun flares. Backlighting is way harder to edit that I had thought!! How do you think I did? any suggestions to make it better?

    Camera: Nikon D300
    Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200)
    Aperture: f/4.5
    Focal Length: 50 mm
    ISO Speed: 500

Very cute! The backlighting looks great. She still looks underexposed to me. You could bring up the exposure on her skin a bit. A reflector might have helped in this situation. She also looks a little blue/cyan assuming that her long sleeve shirt is white.

What a cute shot, and great job!! I honestly don't see anything I'd change with the lighting or anything, it looks spot on to me. The only thing I think I'd change is maybe trying to straighten the horizon a bit. I'm sure that'd be tricky with her hand so close to being cropped, though.

I am inspired now, though! I really want to try backlighting soon.

Very cute! The backlighting looks great, and it really makes her cute pigtails stand out. I would just warm her up a bit and bring up the exposure, and you'd be golden!

    Very cute!
It may be just me (I'm supposedly calibrated, but I don't trust it 100%) but there seems to be a rather yellow cast on the whole image..?) Bringing down the cyan which would increase red might fix that also.

Great capture and great backlighting! Noone has mentioned this, so maybe its just me or my monitor, but my eye kinda gets drawn toward the really reflection in the water. Love the piggy tails and love the DOF along with the backlighting. Way to go!
