Batch editing and snaps (pic heavy)

My baby's 1st birthday party was Saturday and I took 150 pictures! I use my D60 for all my pics, even snaps because I need the practice. After going through and deleting any pics that were no good, I am left with 117 pics! I have picked a few of my fav's and edited them, but I am just not going to edit 100 more snapshots! Is there anyway to batch edit them just to sharpen and correct WB? I am using CS4 btw....

Also, I am trying to decide between printing my snaps and putting them in an album or maybe ordering a photo book and ordering a few books for grandparents. Would it be worth my time to put together a photo book with just birthday snapshots?

And for funsies, here are a few pics (no need to CC, just snapshots):

Adorable pics! I am no help with the batch question since I don't have that software. But I know I can do it with the software that came with my camera, so I'm sure you can.

As for the albums, I know both my parent's and DH's parent's would LOVE albums made for them of the girls birthday party. So I say go for it! You got some great shots! And what an adorable cake. Did you make it yourself?

Adorable! I would think batch editing would be possible in your software, but I'm not sure.

I arranged each of Eva's birthdays (snaps) into little soft-cover glossy-page photo books from Shutterfly and/or Snapfish, and they're super-cute. I chose the 8x8" size but there are other sizes. They are so easy to make and they do make great gifts!

Batching is totally possible, but it's too difficult to explain here. You can google batch CS4 and read about it. Tons of info out there.

You can do it two ways, you can batch in ACR if you're dealing with RAW images. If you're dealing with JPEGS, you can run a batch using an action.

Great links, Amber! TFS!

Sara ... your princess looks SO ADORABLE! I *love* that party hat (I'd wear one for MY next b-day ... when you're as old as me, you don't care about appearances Blum 3 )!

Now tell us about those cakes! They are INCREDIBLE! Did you make them? Were they as yummy as you made them look here?

As for the photos ... I love the idea of a photo book. I really need to start doing that for the holidays and such. Would really make the grandmas happy.

Best,

Hahaha, you ladies are hilarious! Did I make the cakes myself?? Please, I can barely manage to make a grilled cheese sandwich! I had them made by a local bakery that does wedding cakes and stuff. The one with the tiers was Kamryn's cake, it was just plain white cake. I gave her to top half to smash and eat, but she hated it. I even tried to cut it up and feed her some of it and she was just not having it. I wish I hated cake that much...
So I don't have any good messy covered in cake pics LOL.

Amber - Thank you so much! I will have to try going through some of that info when I get a little free time. I didn't want to do too much with the pics, but since they were shot inside with little natural light, the WB is a little funky in some.

And GiGi, the hat came from Party City. You know you can buy like handmade keepsake party hats for around $15 or $20...well that one is cardboard and cost $1.99. I figured she's never going to wear it again and chances are she will tear it up anyway.

the cakes are adorable (even if not appreciated by your princess)! how cool you found a place to make such awesome party centerpieces!

Loli didn't like cake either. He still won't eat icing, but he has developed a small taste for cake. I see it as a good thing and wish he had passed that trait on to me. Wink

Take care,
GiGi
