A before and after

I will post more from this shoot soon... but my daughter requested a "wonderland" style shoot. She set up most of it and and just shot the images. This is in front of a law office and I was literally shooting around cacti (felt they would ruin the feel we were going for). Things aren't very lush or green this time of year either... I am trying to learn to push my PP for effect.
SOOC

a "fantasy" edit.

Plays welcome, I would love to see how others would edit these...

Cool edit! I can see a few leftover bits around her though that didn't get processed. Particularly under her knees/legs, and the pale leaves around her head & next to her right shoulder/chest. The only other thing that stands out to me is the orange on her forehead that could be toned down.

Wonderful shot I do have to agree with Amy you might need to take a bit of the orange out of her forehead.

I would love to see this done with a black and white background and your daughter in vibrant colours.

Very creative! I have to agree about her forehead. A;so her headband is blown and looks almost glowing. There is dappled light on top of her head. Wish her feet was included.

Thanks guys, the forehead and hair bow went wonky with the soft light layer, I should have erased back on parts of that... This was just a quick "for fun" shoot and edit... so I know there are some bits I should have been more careful on... I will pay attention to that better.

@El, I have some with her feet, but liked this one better, esp since I had room to keep it cropped without a chop

@ Muddee, What you are talking about is selective coloring... A pretty hot topic if you want to do a search on this forum. Most MWACs who do any editing try it at least once... ( I had my round) but it is often looked down on as a late fad in photography...

I was thinking of selective colouring, didn't realize that it wasn't popular any more.

I love that she requested the shoot and did all the styling, such a cool idea. She's such a pretty girl!

I alos love that she came up with the idea and did all the styling. I think your edit looks great and with the bits the others have already mentioned it would be fantastic. Good cloning job too, lol!

I think the super saturation works really well for the idea of this shot! your DD seems like a lot of fun!
