Bubbles

Did you know bubbles are very hard to focus on?! We bought our DD a bubble machine and I took it outside to see what I could get (of her AND bubbles).

ETA: My hubby as agreed to sit for me so I can actually have practice with posing and working with a WILLING subject. Can't wait!!

This is the one shot I got of a bubble in focus.

Thanks Smile

I really think the focus on that bubble was a complete accident, but I'll take it! I guess the AF points just can't catch those things with how see thru they are.

The dog pic was just an easy one. That dog poses all day long. I swear, he looks like a statue most of the time.

pets make great practice subjects though since they don't move around so much like our little ones do Lol I love taking pictures of my cats but most of the time they are sleeping. Every now and then they pose for me Wink

That's so cool! The bubble pic is cute! I can imagine how hard it was!

Your DD is just adorable. The first one of her is my fav! You can see the happiness in her eyes, and how they are following the bubbles!

GREAT dog pic too! I bet your neighbors would love a copy of that!

Yahoo for your DH WILLING to sit for you. I don't even ask Randall, I just do it! Lol

WOW! Great bubble pic! I love that reflection of the house in it!

Your DD is truly adorable. Both pics are great, but I love the slight head tilt in the first one of her. SO SWEET!

And that dog ... wow! I wish *MY* dog would sit so still!!! Blum 3

I cant' wait to see your shoot w/ DH!!!

Best,

Love the pics! I always want to get pics of bubbles like that but haven't succeeded yet. Which lens did you use?

Your daughter looks so cute watching the bubbles. Did you do a vintage-y style PP on those? They look neat!

Yes sometimes pets are the ONLY cooperative subjects to practice on, for sure!!! lol

I used my 50mm 1.8 for all the pictures. I haven't been too happy with the sharpness my Tamron has been providing...it might just be user error

I actually just tried to process to my liking. The SOOC images were under exposed. I had to brighten them up quite bit and correct the skin tones because the sun was already behind the house. I have no clue what I'm doing when it comes to post processing Lol

Thanks to Sadie I added the Scott Kelby book for Photoshop Elements to my wish list Biggrin

Cool that you came up with that PP just by playing with it!

I haven't tried my 50mm on any bubbles yet but now you've inspired me! It's supposed to be a gorgeous (but hot) weekend here so I'll be sure to take some bubbles outside with Eva Smile
