Cake Smash!

So I did a fake cake smash for practice today. Max is actually almost 15 months, but he still likes cake! A friend of mine decorates cakes. She wants me to do a cake smash for her son in a couple weeks. She needed practice on the cake and I wanted to practice on the pics. Here is the first one that I pp (mostly because it required to least amount of cloning!). I would love cc on it, esp the color, as that it always a struggle.

settings ss 1/160, f/2.8, iso 800

I love it!

There is a gradient to the color of your backdrop, but I'm assuming that's b/c the light is coming from camera left?

too cute! I see the gradient light Meagan noticed but it doesn't bother me. I think your focus is great, and the color looks fine to me from here.

GREAT SHOT! That cake is amazing (& it shows really well here). You've captured great emotion. Color, focus ... everything seems SPOT ON!!!

I can't wait to see more from this set!

BTW ... did you clone out the line where the plexi stops? It appears flawless, seamless ... I'm in awe!

Great! So fun! The light area in the middle of the photo is a bit distracting but nothing big for me. I can't wait to see how it turned out the rest of the session!
