Cake smash pics with that "glossy floor" look?

Sorry I don't post here much... I lurk sometimes, but usually don't have a ton of time to post with my two little ones. Anyway, my youngest is going to be 11 months old tomorrow and I'm trying to plan some cute cake smash photos to take in a few weeks for his first birthday, and I love the ones where the floor looks glossy/shiny. I'm just wondering what materials (like plexi-glass or something?) work best for this, and where to get them? Also, what size is best? TIA for any advice!

I'm pretty sure it's plexi-glass that they use. I've never used it myself though. Maybe you could check Lowes or Home Depot? Maybe even a craft store. Good luck! I hope you share the pics after you take them! I LOVE cake smashes!

These were done a looooooong time ago, so excuse the quality... but I used fleece backdrop and a 3ftx3ft square of plexi that I got at the local hardware store... I wrapped packing tape on all four sides of the plexi because it is super sharp... so be careful!

Those are really cute! Smile Thanks for the tip... I don't want anyone getting cut on it!
