Default Cake Smash....ugh - bad experience

Had my first "official" cake smash. It was interesting to say the least. We were 300 miles from home (took studio stuff with me), in a strangers house (it gets more weird - it was my Dh's ex), with a little boy who didn't feel good. No time for a reschedule so we had to work with what we had. Learning to set up in a strange place was a challenge. I didn't take as much time as I should have to set up my backdrop...weird shadow in the bottom right corner caused lots of cloning issues with the plexi! Anywho, here's Willie....

(by the way - he HATED touching his cake! lol So much for a "cake smashing" session"

Well I think you did awesome considering the day you had.

I love the last two! The last one looks a little oversharpened

    The colours are awesome?

Ohh I think they're adorable! I love the colors. The skin tone in 3-4-5 are the best (but not sure of my screen's accuracy), the first 2 skin looks a tad blue. But I love them all!

I'm sorry you had such a tough time. Given the circumstances I think you still did a fantastic job!

The colors look great! That does sound like a stressful/strange situation. What a way to hamper creativity, huh? I think you did a great job considering the situation. THe first is my favorite! focus looks good and exposure.

I think you did great! Can't really tell you had trouble. You have a few blue color casts in places on his skin and at least the first three look cool all around. But those are easy fixes and have nothing to do with your set up!

Super cute! It doesn't look like you had an issue which is great!

Sorry the shoot was so difficult. Still, all the photos, including the last one, are beautiful! He's a cute, expressive little boy, and you really captured this in the shots.
