I hope you all don't mind another newbie question. Smile

I've seen several people mention on color CC responses that they are working from calibrated or uncalibrated PCs. Could someone explain to me briefly what calibration entails and how it works?

Probably should let someone else answer, but my understanding of calibration is this: A computer monitor can be tweeked via software to give a very true representation of color. It will also give you the true colors as it compares to print.

I've really noticed the difference in color and brightness between my work PC and my laptop at home. What I've worked so hard to get looking great at home, I move to my work computer and it just looks so different (ie the pic I just posted on my valentines thread).

I'm sure someone can explain it better...
