I'm still working on the photos of my sisters "shoot" and would love CC on this. Anything at all is appreciated!
What about this one? It was my first attempt at backlighting. The sun was still a little high I think but I wasn't really sure. (Ignore the cheesy smile on her face.) This is SOOC. I just did a little crop.
I like the first picture a lot. I think the back could use a bit of a color pop. Maybe run like a grunge type of action to it. The only thing I notice is her front (chest area) seems lost and I don't see any detail of it. It seems like it was blacked out. I also think that you could have lowered your ISO since your SS is 1/400.
The second one is not a very good expression on her face. Her face and neck area seems a bit yellow/pale.
Great job on focus is very good. Composition on the first one is great, I wish there was more to the right of her.

Just chug-chug-chugging along.
1) I think you did a better job at posing her on this one. I think her chest is lost a bit, but personally, I like the pose better than the others.
2) I'm not sure about the second one. I think her expression is throwing me off some.

That wall she is leaning against in the first is awesome. I think if you would have stepped to your right and had her turn her body just slightly toward you, it would have both taken care of the chest being lost in the shadows and utilized the lines in the background as leading lines a little better.
The second has great focus. When backlighting focus is tougher so that is great, but it just isn't a flattering picture of her.
I agree on trying a color pop on 1. I love the pose, though, and the whole feel to it. As for 2, it looks like good backlighting to me. I'm not a pro by any means, though. Oh, and great job shooting a subject with glasses, too. That's one of my fears with glasses.. reflections and frames getting in the way, but you did well!
