Thread: cc on B&W conversion

For those of you who like or at least don't mind conversions ( ), can you tell me if this conversion looks ok? I did it using the channel mixer method, and then did a blended medium brown layer overtop it. I mainly used it on this photo because the original colors in the photo were hard to adjust just right.

Thank you! I'm happy that I can at least do this right so far lol. I did it without a tutorial, I just channel-mixed until it looked good to me, and then added the warm color layer--I think I set it to screen but I'd have to double-check.

I'm finding that I prefer doing outdoor shoots (for portraits). I love it. Practicing getting those catchlights. A moving toddler makes it so challenging! lol but it's a great way of capturing their personalities!

I'll echo the 'good job'! You did get wonderful light in her eyes and I love the tight crop.
