I'm not very good at photoshop. Does his face look better here? It kept looking like it had a colour cast everytime I tried to burn it. What am I doing wrong?
I haven't cropped as I still couldn't find a crop that I liked.....
I think the crop is fine. Don't worry too much about that. His entire body is in the fence, so he's not being cut off by it. I think the tilt of the fence is more distracting than the crop, but probably unavoidable.
Yeah, there's probably a cast on his face. You know, you may try warming the image up as a whole, then create a layer, get a good skin color in your paint, and paint over his face in a low opacity, until you get the cast off.
I'll be back later today with my images :)
Okay, here are a couple from me.

Carson took this one for me. I have one with all the haze and one without. I think I like the one with the haze, actually, which is not normally my style.

I haven't really got much CC, Steph -- I love them both. #1 is such a great pose and a great boy expression! #2 is really fun and precious, and I love the haze.
#1 Love it
#2 Love it - love the haze
Shadow- I think you might have brightened it a tad too much now. Bring it down some. :)
Steph- Um, LOVE #1. Makes him look older though.... I don't know about that! ;)
#2 is great. I think it could use a bit more umph but other than that, I like the haze and the moment caught!
Here's mine for this week:
#1. f5.6, SS 1/640, ISO 640, FL 135mm. I used a higher ISO than normally necessary because it was so windy, I didn't want any chance of motion blur. Got grass stains on my pants for this one!

#2. f5.6, SS 1/640, ISO 400, FL 135mm.

#3. f5.6, SS 1/200, ISO 2000, FL 79mm. Just a snap during our trip to the pumpkin patch (on the tractor ride), but I liked it and am wondering how the conversion is.

#4. Not totally in love with this, but I did some editing to make it more moody and just wondering what people think. I don't have the settings right now, but they'd be something like f18, SS 1/125, ISO 1000, if I can recall.

Sorry I'm just now getting to this!
#1 - I really like the colors together here! Though, I'm wondering if you might turn down the yellows a little bit. It's almost to the "neon" point, to me.
#2 - "Don't take my tree!" Very cute! Like the hazy feel of this one. The top is a little too bright for me, but not a dealbreaker :)
#3 - Nice conversion! Love the light in her eyes.
#4 - Hmm. I think that, for me, to have the negative space in the sky like that, I'd like to see more interesting clouds. There's really not much going on with them to be the main focal point of the image. Does that make sense? You've done a nice job getting that "moody" edit though!
I love the light around the leaf in #1. It is so golden and warm. Some of the grass looks a tad 'off' in colour though. I like this. It doesn't make me go 'wow' like some of your other stuff, but I do like it.
#2 Isn't really doing it for me. I think maybe because the haze is quite grey which makes the photo look a little dull / washed out. I'd also prefer him more to the left of the shot.
#3. The conversion looks good to me and I really like the expression on her face.
#4 Great colours, I like the composition. The autumn colours are beautiful and great against the cloudy sky. Well done.
I have something a little different this week. A friend asked me to take some photos of a lunch / wine tasting yesterday as a favour (not a job, just so she had a few photos of the event). I can't share any of the ones with people in them as I don't have their ok, but what do you think of these. Are they too 'boring'? Plus, there was a big dead tree outside the window and it was a dull grey day so the sky was very uninteresting. Does it look ok where I have tried to clone the tree out? Also, the windows at this place were so dirty. I tried to clean it up a little but there was so much of it. Thoughts?
