    Sadie.
    1. I love your conversion here. I like the composition and really don't have anything to criticise at all.
    2. This one looks a little soft to me, or maybe the focus is on his ear when I feel like it should be more on his face. I don't feel the connection in this one.
    3. Very sweet. Great conversion, love the detail in the eyelashes. I don't know why, but I like it even more if I tilt my head to the right to look at it.

#1. I like the conversion. Just wish I could see more of the tub for more context. Gosh she's cute!

#2. I wish his face was toward the light. That's pretty mich all I've got for that one. I LOVE sleeping shots!

#3. I either wish that you would have. Acked up, or got in closer to the eyelashes for this one.

    Sorry so short!

Well, I do have a couple of shots, but I can't figure out how to upload them to Flickr from my phone so I guess if someone wants an extra day this week, you can take mine.

    Great shots, Sadie!

#1 - Love it! Great smile, great tub, great capture. I wonder how this would look in sepia. It has an "old" feel to it which sepia would suit... but the conversion is great here, love the B&W too. I would straighten it a bit so the tub is horizontal.

#2 - Sweet shot. Artistically, it doesn't do a lot for me except as a sweet "ah" moment, but I like it.

#3 - Nice focus on the eyelashes. I think I'd crop in even a bit tighter if the eyelashes are your intended subject. Nice conversion again.

Steph, I'd swap days with you, but I'm totally not ready to post right now... got some stuff to process first.

I think I have it figured out!! If you want to know settings, just click on the pictures. You should be able to view exif info since its public. I've been looking for light and angles to get rid of background clutter in the new house.

#1 I think this one is too up-lit.

    #2 same spot different angle

The light is much better in #2 Steph. In #1 the light is almost (not quite) like pin points in his eyes. The composition doens't do a great deal for me in either, however, that little half smile in the second picture is just so sweet. Absolutely adorable. I like the conversion in both too.

Do you have hardwood floors in the new place?

Definitely #2 is the best light. Very sweet, and great conversions.

i know this one has blown spots on it, but the over-bright pic is sorta my thing...i prefer the brighter style and i wanted the blocks properly exposed above anything else...

this was my favorite of the bunch for some reason...i just really liked the 'intimacy' of it myself...i dunno...

I have a color version of this edit too but i preferred the b/w
    1. I also prefer SOOC for all the reasons listed and because I like the crop better than your edit. However, have you tried to crop it very tightly? That might allow for more focus on the letters.

    2. Great job with the cloning on this! Looks good to me. I like the pose and the processing on the edit.

    3. This is a neat pose and I don't mind the angle. I do prefer the color over bw though!

Okay, I have to tell a secret. I don't really know about/understand metering (it is on my list!). So I will just say that I think you made a pretty good save in the first one. He has a pleasant expression, nice eye contact, but the lighting in this one looks a little flatter to me than #2.

#2 = adorable! What a cutie. I love the head tilt. Good cc already on the dappled lighting. I am not sure about the color...did you a try a conversion at all?

Overall nice pictures, just try different lighting next time! Wait til the sun is just about to set and pull them out from under the shade!
