    Jennifer -

#1 - Oh, you're giving me baby fever!! I'm not really one for newborns, but the age of your little guy is what I love! Love the little drop of drool you caught. I think your conversion looks nice. I think I would have liked to see you back up a bit on this one, though.

#2 - Adorable!! I love what you've done with the colors on her outfit (they really pop), but agree that SHE looks a little too yellow. Love her pose, eye contact, and smile.

    Sadie -

Did she loose her tooth in the middle of the session??? Or was this 2 different ones in the same outfit?? I think you have done a FANTASTIC job capturing her emotion in these. One thing that I will say as an overall CC of these is that they all feel a bit foggy. Not missed focus necessarily, but maybe the edits? Did you use a fill color?

#1 - I agree that it's a bit grey. Love them wrapped up in the blanket! I know that you got several of this, but I just glanced at them on my phone. Did you have a more "moody" one? I'm thinking that I'd love to see them snuggled in together, heads tipped toward each other, straight faces, and looking at the camera. Don't get me wrong, though! This one is cute!!

#2 - This one is my favorite! Love the pose, the outfit, and the smile that you can just hear her laughing through. She looks so nice and relaxed here.

#3 - She is quite the model, isn't she?? I bet she is going to be so much fun to photograph! And boy, she (or is it you??) certainly has a sense of style! Like Tracy said, I think she is positioned great! She just looks a bit more stiff in this one than the previous one.

#4 - I know why you like this one as his mom. What I think could make this stronger for other viewers would be if he had more of a "gruff" look on his face. Sort of as if he was Clint Eastwood in a western movie or something. Does that make any sense? His face looks a little too blank here. I also agree that the tree line needs to either be higher or lower on him. I'm actually thinking that maybe if you would have been slightly more above him, you would have avoided the line cutting across his head. It's just that it kind of breaks your line of vision while you're looking at him. Not that it's distracting, just that it kind of breaks it up in a spot where you should be focusing on his cute little face. Does that make sense?

Thank you ladies for the CC. As for losing the tooth- Sat night, I had them change, took the photos quickly, then took the clothes off for church the next morning. She lost her tooth Sunday morning. Same outfit, different day!

As for Randy- he is NEVER into it. I guess that one is just mommy goggles b/c it's him to me.

Here is a moodier one (with Randy) and I upped the contrast. Is this what you ladies meant?

Jennifer, I struggle CCing your photos in particular as I only wish I could get anything that good!
#1 - love those eyes and the expression. Aw. The only thing is the little bit of drool on the chin which kind of looks like a mini beard. I would never have noticed it if not looking so hard though.
#2 I really like the processing on this. It just works. Something about the curtains is making me pause but I can't think what it is. Without them the photo would lose some of its character, but there is something about them. Sorry, I can't put my finger on it.

    Sadie.
#1 This one looks a little soft to me. Like Tracy said, maybe a little more contrast would make it pop.
#2 I love this. It is beautiful. Maybe a touch brighter would be better, but I really like it (and I am still leaning towards too bright, I need to learn to tone it down).
#3 There is some sort of halo effect around her head that almost makes it look like she was originally in a separate photo (does that make sense). I'd also like to see her slightly more to one side and, again, maybe a little bright? Great shot though, I really like it.
#4 Those boots are too cute. The boots and the gun actually draw my eye more than his face does. Not sure why.

Sadie, the first of the new pics has much better contrast and clarity to me.

Sadie, I'm liking the first of the 2 newer ones you posted. I think it's because of the lighting. Her face looks a little too splotchy because of the light in #2. In #1, the light looks more evenly placed on her, as well as him.

And man, she looks so grown up with her tooth gone! Did I see she lost another last night?? I remember loosing both of my front teeth at the same time...I hated it!! lol!

YES! She lost another tooth last night. It's on the bottom though. Not the front bottom but the one next to the front two bottom! She looks silly, but she loves it!

Ya, the light is different in #2, but I just loved the moment. But I do understand it's not technically correct!

Aw, it's awesome when kids lose their teeth! Though I have to say, I always thought from her pics that Sadie was older than the "losing front teeth" stage... she looks so much older and bigger than Nora!

I definitely think the contrast in the second set of B&Ws you posted is much better, Sadie. Those look great! I also prefer the first one.

Tracy- Ruthie is about 1 year older than Nora, actually 1 year and 4 days! Her birthday is Feb 10th! It's funny how they lose at different times. A boy in Ruthie's class who will be 6 in November, just lost his first tooth!

Here are a couple that I took today of Jackson. I haven't been shooting as much as I'd like lately I really need to get out and find some good locations. They look like they need brightened to me, now that they're here... Oh, and I'm leaving the boo-boo in there on purpose, instead of "fixing" it. (They're coming out today!!)

Steph, I like the first one a lot... the tilt of his head, his blue eyes, and the boo-boo (poor kid!!). Not a lot of light in his eyes, but very sweet.

His skin looks a bit dark in the second one, and the image is a bit 'busy'. But it is cute!

You know what's so funny? I JUST this morning bought that same shirt for Micah, from the thrift store!

Sadie, OK, that makes sense about Ruthie's age. She definitely always looks taller than Nora!! Though Nora is short. And kids do lose teeth at very different ages. I was a 'late bloomer' that way.
