Amy- I think after noiseware these will be great. I really like the last one you posted. Great merging!
Steph- I don't have anything else to add. I am late. I really like #2 & 3. I can feel the Christmas spirit in that last one!
G- I wish you would have stepped back a bit in #1, but this one is good on color. Great improvement! I LOVE #2. Have you tried this in a landscape crop?

Here are a few quick ones from me. Randall's niece came over this weekend and I threw a shirt on her and tried to match the kids for some pics for their Grandma. The lighting was not for me in these, but I did the best I could. Hit me the best you can. I can't redo these- no time, but if there is any editing I can fix, hit me up!

Sadie, sorry I didn't CC yesterday... just not feeling well enough. A little better today, though, so here I am!

    1. Ruthie is just so darn cute! Love her smile here. Nice shot of the three of them. It does seem the light isn't optimal, and the picture looks just a bit bright, but I do like it. I'm not sure the pose is the best for the niece, that's the only thing.

    2. Sweet and really nice and sharp. I wonder if angling them a little more to camera left would've been good... hard to tell about the light, but there seems to be a bit too much shadow on the niece's face.

    3. This is my favourite pose for the three of them. Their heights are perfect for this and it's flattering and cute. Being really nitpicky, I'd have liked them to be completed 'backed' by the trees and not have the niece's head going into the blown part of the sky, but that's just a tiny detail.

    Sadie.

    1. I like this, though I wish there was a little bit more room at the bottom of the frame as losing a tiny bit of her foot here. The light might not have been optimal, but I think you have done well with it. The only thing is, it seems quite golden and warm which is in contrast to the blanket which makes you think it should be cool and wintery. That is just something I noted, not something to change. If you had time to redo this (which you don't) I might have either removed the blanket altogether or made it wrap around them properly.

    2. Again, I really like this. I like how you had them stand, it is very sweet. I think it is great colour and beautiful focus.

    3. I agree with Tracy on this one and don't have anything to add.

Sadie - here is my CC - great job on these you have grown soo much!

    1. This pose is not very flattering for your niece. Lighting feels a bit flat. I wish you could have moved maybe 45 degrees from them so you could have caught them on an angle instead of you parallel to them. I would want to fill in the background with more of the weed. My eyes go to that empty space in the back.

    2. I agree with angling them so that your niece is not parallel from you. This is a nice photo overall.

    3. This is cute. I am not sure how I am liking the pose though, makes it feel like totem poles... lol. Was it an overcast day? I am not sure if the light is behind them or behind you?

Back for CC! Again, I'm sorry I didn't get to it sooner. Guess that's the bad part about having the internet on my phone...lol!

#1 - This is cute, and I like the idea. I just wish the blanket was a little bit larger so it could cover them all like it does with the one of Ruthie and Randy. I also agree that the pose isn't very flattering for your niece. I would have liked to see her with her legs off to the side, instead of cross-legged like she is. She's just kind of slumping because of the way she's sitting. If her legs were off to the side, she'd have to elongate her body causing her posture to be a little better.

#2 - I would have liked to see Randy holding hands with your niece, and also Ruthie holding on to her other hand. I like how you have Ruthie connecting to Randy, but maybe she could have put her arm around his shoulders?

#3 - I agree with the other CC on this one. On this one, and #2, it probably would have helped to shoot down on them a little more. Your niece looks like she's looking down on you. This is a problem that I have as well, and why I don't do many standing poses. I'm short, and most people are a lot taller than I am, making it difficult to shoot slightly down on them without me being on a hill or a step stool.

I know you had no control over the way your niece dressed (this was probably one of those really warm days we had this past week?), but maybe you could have dressed Randy and Ruthie to match her a little better. I think you got the colors well, but your niece is wearing shorts and flip flops, while Randy is in a sweater and Ruthie is wearing cold-weather boots. Does that make sense? I think that even short sleeves could have tied it together a bit.

I'm being pretty nitpicky, because I know you're ready for it. I think your processing is consistent, and you're exposure looks great. I think your next step is styling your shots. Meaning getting creative with your posing/clothing/etc... And that can be the hardest part sometimes!

Wow, I'm looking back on this week and realize that I've got nothing! Wish my kids were cooperating with me! I'm gonna have to see if I can get Jackson to pose for me for something tomorrow while Carson is at school. They both get jealous when I'm focusing on the other, but they just goof around when I try to get something of them together.

Here's one measly photo I wouldn't mind some CC on.

I like it, Steph, nice light -- you must've bounced the flash a little to one side? There's some nice directional light going on. His skin looks a tad off to me, maybe just a slight bit on the yellow side. Perhaps it's just from the floor.

Yes, bounced off the wall to the left side of the frame. I thought that too about the color on him. I wasn't going to mention it, so I could see if it was just me
