CC on PP

So, this is from DS's birthday last weekend. Ugh, ugh. The color cast/white balance is absolutely horrible because we have stamped/glazed cement, blue walls on our house, and open shade to boot.

I've been studying up on my Kelby book and going over clean PP tutorials in ilp, so any harsh cc is fine with me! I cannot seem to open in ACR either. I keep getting a grey box when I try to open a pic in RAW, even after I realized I hadn't downloaded the plug-in and did that.

SOOC
Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200)
Aperture: f/3.5
ISO: 100

After,
Birthday Boy

It is a very cute shot! It is still cool. His tray looks blue. I am assuming it is white. He is also underexposed, probably because of the very bright background behind his highchair.

he's definitely underexposed ... I wonder why you can't open it in in ACR. that would really help you if you could start the editing there, especially with exposure. and I agree with Steph, needs some warming up. but you have a great start!

Just wanted to jump in and say I think your edit is great. Much better than I could do. I think it could be brightened a tad and I would call it a day! What a cute shot!

What a cute shot! I agree about brightening it a bit and I thought I would mention that I am seeing lots of green in his face. Your edit is a huge improvement over the SOOC! Way to go! I bet it was a challenge with all of your blue surroundings!
