So, had a headshot session with this guy today:
He's also doing a one man show about Telly Savalas, and wanted some pictures for a flyer, this isn't done, we're going to add a girl on the left side of the photo....this may not even be the photo he chooses, but I wanted to see what you guys thought of the re-touching. This is a bald cap and it was far from flush with his scalp and there was hair showing over the ear and in the back. How does it look? Does it work?
Oh, and the original...just so you can see what was done:

no it's obvious sorry maybe not so much if you hadn't mentioned it but his face goes from freckles to smooth
but great job on getting rid of the hair
eta: since you're a photoshop guru I'd also see about smoothing the forehead wrinkles just a tad, they look a bit plasticy (again maybe if I didn't know it was a cap I wouldn't have taken as close a look as I did)

Anyone have suggestions? Telly doesn't have moles or anything on his head. I think cloning out the top row or two of wrinkles may help. Not going to go nuts until I know if he's actually going to order one of these pictures. LOL!
Okay...is this any better? I used the patch tool to add some texture and got rid of one of the wrinkles.
well compared to the sooc it's amazing
I'd wait and see what he wants out of it too and how realistic he wants
eta : just saw your re-edit, the texture makes it look even better, i'm sure he'll be amazed

The second edit looks good! I know in PSP you can make the noise bigger in size (speckle-size wise)....but not sure about other programs.

I think it looks good...its the forehead wrinkles that really shows that it isn't real...if you got rid of the forehead wrinkles completly, im sure it would look much more real...but is that what he wants? for it to look real? or is it supposed to be a joke thing?
I think that I'd add a bit more texture to it, maybe something with a bit of a blush tone- it's almost there!
