I just calibrated a new monitor. My husbands monitor. I am in the process of switching computers...well at least for editing. (My laptop has been acting up lately and i'm getting tired of it lol) I've installed photoshop on here and have calibrated this darn thing like 5 or 6 times now. I think I finally have it like my other monitor. Just wanted to check on here. Here are two pictures. The first one I edited on my laptop with an external (calibrated) monitor hooked up to it. I've printed a few pictures out and am pretty satisfied with the results (i used mpix). I edited this one a couple weeks ago.

and this one I edited just now. Also, this one doesn't have the vignette that the one above does (i erase the vignette on faces, skin, etc...) I don't have any of my actions on this computer yet. But skin tones look about the same don't ya think?

I have no idea how to edit to check calibration. Maybe edit one image on here and the same one on the other computer?
no, skin looks different to me. I'm seeing magenta in your tones in the first one, and the second one seems to be making you look pale ... actually, is the second one srgb or Adobe rgb?

i'm not sure actually..i'll have to look it up. My husband will be formating my hard drive on my laptop soon. He is going to reinstall windows. I have Windows Vista on there and its just screwy! So he is going to install Windows xp and in english! lol I'll go ahead and edit a few more on this here computer and check with you all. I just hope I calibrated it ok.
I know I changed some coloring to the second one from the first. The first looked a bit yellow so I took some of that away so that might be what you are seeing.
are you sure you're seeing too much magenta in the first one? my monitor downstairs is calibrated and i don't see a thing. It looks maybe a smidge magenta but not too much. ? btw I am hispanic and maybe that's throwing the colors off.
anyone else here calibrated that can help?
both my upstairs and downstairs monitors look the same now. both calibrated unless I totally did it wrong but I don't think I did...?
