Color help! CC needed!

Hi ladies! Be oh so gentle with this, my first CC posting. Smile I shot a very active 11 month old as my first paying client. *biting nails* He had a very red blotchy face, almost like hives, and bruises on his face. This photo is SOOTC besides some editing to his face issues. I'm edited quite a few but I just can't get the color right. :/ I think I've been editing too long and everything looks wrong now. What do you guys think?

F 2.5

Thanks so much ladies!

What a cute little guy!

I can't comment too much on color because I'm not calibrated. He does seem a little orange to me?

He seems a little underexposed, and I also think a different crop might work better. Since it's such a small picture, I'm having a hard time telling if his face is oof or not.

I agree that it's hard to CC because it's so small. I, too, am uncalibrated, but am seeing orange in his face. What method did you use to fix his face? Is this an in-camera crop? If not, look and see if you have his whole hand and other arm in the original. You'll want to keep those in.

For next time: I'd back up some, and use some sort of reflector to get some light in the eyes.

Thank you soo soooo much girls. I know! Choppy chop, right? *sigh* This was extra hard b/c I was going to someone's house I'd never been before. And all I knew was there was a 'sun room'. Eeep! Talk about a scary situation. I packed my makeshift back drop, a bag of tricks, and prayed for the best. It was a tight squeeze so a lot of the shots aren't optimal as far as positioning. Sorry about the small size. I stretched this one so hope it's bigger. Do you think this color is any better? Better crop? The in-camera is a lot of space above the head.

**UGH! I hate you photobucket! Why the &*(^*^& won't it post a pic bigger than a thimble? No matter what I do it won't. And if I do resize, it becomes all stretched and blurry. Do you guys use anything else to post pics?

I use flickr to upload.

I think the colour is off on his face but I can't quite pintpoint what exactly. I'm not callibrated so may just be me. The comp doesn't do much for me. I feel like I want to know what he is looking out.

I use Flickr as well.

Honestly, I'd just leave this one out. I know he has a smile on his face, but it seems it's giving you a lot of problems.
